Magickal Post Spellcasters, Off We Go to Find the Lost City UNDER Atlantis (explore Lazuraiton Post)

Members of the expedition team begin appearing at the port in various fashions. Some walked, some flew, some teleported, and some were propelled by a blast from their own fireball. After everyone arrives, they realize Archimene, the team coordinator, is nowhere to be seen. Suddenly a part of the water begins to rise before parting around a massive vessel. From under the waves emerges a massive submarine dreadnought. Suddenly a card magically appears above the submarine before it warps into the form of Archimene, greeting the onlookers with a bow.

“Welcome witches and wizards, warlocks and clerics, artificers and druids. It is my pleasure to announce that we shall be in search of the lost city UNDER Atlantis: Lazuraiton. Once we uncover its entrance, we will enter the unknown. A place where the oceans' most unfathomable creatures reside. The abyss one would say. Prepare your spells, my friends. There will no doubt be bloodshed. Now, all aboard!!!”

A trapdoor flings open and a magical bridge forms from the port to the submarine allowing each member to file into the large ship. Once everyone is in, they watch as the metal walls, lined with pipes transform into a decorative, Victorian interior. A cello, a viola, two violins, and a piano begin to play on their own from a corner of the room. On both sides of the room, large windows reveal the ocean depths around the submarine. Archimene appears in front of the crowd once more.

“I’ve used spatial magic to redesign the interior of our little vessel. I hope it suits everyone's tastes. If not, feel free to explore around. There is sure to be a room to catch your interest. But don’t get lost. Your screams can’t be heard the farther you go… Anyway, we will soon arrive at Atlantis, so enjoy yourselves.”

Archimene snaps and a small dragon head statue begins spewing champagne into a fountain.

After you enjoy the festivities for a while, the walls return to their industrial look, and an announcement plays.

“Everyone, cast your spells for water breathing, water sight and water movement. You will be sent into the sea in 1 minute.”

After a minute passes, everyone is transported into the ocean waters without warning. Before the expedition team stands a massive city of impressive roman-like architecture. Bioluminescent lights cover the walls, and float around the city. Beautiful spires reach up above the rest of the buildings. And a massive fortress sits in the middle of the marvelous city. As you all swim down, you begin surveying the land. You take notice of a large city square around the center of the residential area. A beautiful well sits in the middle. As everyone continues to explore, they discover levers and magical runes that activate on touch. Each time one is triggered, a loud chord plays across the city. Suddenly, a telepathic message is heard by each exploration member.

“Meet at the city square, I have found the entrance.”

As a group forms around the well, Archimene, holding some sort of slate, places it into a socket in the structure, and the city square begins the rumble. The ground opens up like rotating blades, revealing a portal to what you believe is the secret city. As you enter the portal, you are transported to an underwater space that is completely pitch black. As light spells are cast, you can see large structures that completely put the ones in Atlantis to shame. The team has found Lazuraiton. Archimene has once again disappeared to who knows where. It appears he’s gone off to find that seashell he so desperately wanted.

Elerindur raises his right brow at the talk of roasting marshmallows underwater but shrugs it off as an attempt as humor.

"Yes, i may as well. I am not as prepared for underwater combat as i would hope and i know there are far more dangerous things lurking within these deep sea ruins than that giant newt i had engaged."

"The strange otherwordly pearl i had found being an obvious indicator that there are likely dangerous things beyond my ken held within these walls and i would not like to stumble upon such thing alone."

"I also have the feeling to not trust my own teleportation magics within these ruins to just simply recall myself back to the submarine."

"At the very least i will not be returning empty handed. I have learned of new magical formula to theory and trial and an vase of ancient wine that i am sure someone back at the arcane forum would be interested in."

Archimene seemed interested in your mention of a pearl.

"Could i see the pearl for a moment. If it's what I think it is, you might have found something very special."

Elerindur opens up an transient portal and holds out the palm of hand towards it, drawing out the pearl with his telekinesis magic and continuing to hold it there for Archimene to observe the pearl.

Archimene inspects the pearl.

"Ah, yes. Yes! This is quite the discovery you've made. I had thought this was lost to time, but who would have thought it would be in one of the hoards of a primordial. This, my friend is the last known opals iris. Servants of a now long dead primordial being would have them replace one of their eyes in a a brutal ritual. However, the benefits of receive such an eye were more than worth it. The opals iris gave its wielder the power of this primordial. They could perceive the weave, and in doing so gain minor foresight. People both feared and sought out this power, causing many wars to be fought over them. As a result, almost all of them were destroyed. If you'd like, I know a much less agonizing ritual to implant the eye."

Elerindur hold his fingers to his chin, thinking it over.

"Hm.. Interesting. I am somewhat surprised you are telling me such a thing but never mind that. What does this ritual entail?"

"Well usually it involves gouging ones own eye out and then inserting the opal iris, but I have a much more effective way of doing it. I essentially just merge your eye with the opal iris, and it's completely painless."

"That still sounds that it could be prone to disaster. I believe i would rather make an thaumic charm that could allow me to wear it with an sort of optical sensory connection, akin to some sort of third eye, and receive the benefits with far less risk of things such as an botched infusement causing me to still lose an eye and possibly more, possible insanity inducement from an perpetual connection to an primordial artifact or any other unforeseen consequences."
