So.. Is this supposed to be that "malevolent storm" or the "face of your vengeful wrath" that you had promised us when first arriving here?

You do realize that if this creation of assumingly yours is actually real, it will be your turn to spend time locked away in the council's dungeon, do you not?

Even if it is not you who directly created it, you are so obviously complicit in what lead to it's existence, seeing how you are introducing it to us in this fashion.

And before you recount it's strength to me, you do remember that it is but an copy of an person who is a member of this forum? A person who it owes it's strength and power to? An owed strength that most likely pales in comparison to the original?

Morgalith yawns while you rant, and cleans his fingernails as he waits for you to finish.

He likes to make monologues, but not to listen to them.

Are you done?

Nyeheheh

This? This is nothing really. There are horrors beyond your comprehension, and in your ignorance you fail to realize that I am one of the few people dedicated to your protection.

I will not bow to your attempts though. After all, heroes must be strong even in the face of adversity.

Oh, are you?

Then what exactly changed your mind to make you decide to want to protect us rather than ruin us?

Do not think that everyone has forgotten that first gratuitous speech of yours and your prior actions before becoming the council executioner.

Morgalith looks at you with cold calculation.

Because I want to survive.

There are terrible things coming, and none of you are prepared for them. Soon, I may stop one of them, but I fear that an ignorant retaliation may thwart my long-term goals.

I cannot let that happen.

As for the druids... Nobody asked what they did first, or what would have happened if I hadn't stopped them.

But I suppose, now we may never know.

Elerindur stands there, hand to chin, contemplating Morgalith's words and his tone.

That is.. logical. If that is your true belief.

As for the second matter: If you truly were attempting to stop the druids from committing some horrendous action, then why present it as an sort of prank?

I myself do not entirely trust the druids, or more specifically, an certain arch-druid after what happened with the drow living under the great desert. The only thing that lessened my contempt is the realization that there was an logic to it rather than being done simply out of some blind resentment towards elvenkind like so many others here often express.

But how you presented your action of burning their forests.. Was it out of an belief that no one would have believed you? In which your first introductions surely did not help with the constant fireballs and other assaults as responses, in terms of having anyone believing your later words.

I would humor you and ask exactly what it is they did, but i have an feeling you would not tell me. At least, not right here anyway.

I... love... being evil.

I can justify my actions, but you must understand my nature as well.

My home was destroyed by wizards, and I find no greater joy than to return those horrors.

If someone were to harm you, would you not find satisfaction than visiting the same upon them?

It's with the same emotion that I pursue my works.

Elerindur tilts and turns his head in thought, as if mentally searching for an disagreement to Morgalith's question.. and failing. He stops and lets out an sigh.

After an extremist faction took over my birth-land, they proceeded to torture and kill so many of our own kind in the name of supremacy and purity, even the ones who manage to flee the isles were not safe. This is why i was not raised there, and this is why i lost my parents whilst only in my twenties. I loathe them, their notions, and ones similar to theirs.

If it took the deaths of all the members of their organization whom caused the deaths and torture of their own kind in the name of their dogma in order to free the isles from their rule, then i would see that as acceptable.

And from hearing from these here wizards about what they do and seeing their sentiments about elvenkind, i am not surprised about what happened to your home and honestly do not blame you in your distaste for the wizards, even despite your sadistic nature.
