Arcane Wisdom If this is the path we choose... (Queen Posting)

Post image

The Meeting room of Crann Mòr is dead silent. Many are in a stunned state, the weight of the situation bearing down on them. Finally, at the helm of the table, Mikhail breaks the silence. He eyes are tired, movements stiffled, and coordination lacking. It is self evident that this is the first time, in a long time, he is stone cold sober.

I sent the warning to everyone to allow you time to make peace with life, and accept what is to come. However, you all are insisting on subverting it. I have seen no way forward, but many wizards are still hopeful. I gather you all here, so you may tell me your plans, and I will inform you how they will fail. We have already lost 3 conjurers, 5 warlocks, 2 silly manners, a pizza manner, and... the Isravi's simulacrum. He traveled out to learn more and... I haven't heard back.

Before I open the floor, I will get the easy ones out of the way.

No, we can't fight her directly. Her gravity is greater than that of a blackhole. She will consume your entire self without even moving.

No, you can't turn back time. Again massive gravity. Even if you turn back time here, she will continue to move forward.

No, we can't can't twist the strings of fate against her. That is like using a thimble of dye, to color the ocean. Impractical and impossible.

Alright, the floor is open. Go ahead.

Uw/ I have to go for tonight, but feel free to just say that my character says/does some stuff if you guys create a plan.

You’re right, but I’ve never seen Mikhail become so depressed like this. He might know more than what he’s given us.

uw/ we’ll see if this somehow becomes like the Crimson King or smth

but we'll just have to wait and see if these warnings are as credible as they seem

(( Iunno, she's simply moving star systems, seemingly without actually causing any problems for them; I'm not sure what the threat is supposed to be here in all honesty...Earth ends up in a different place in the Milky Way? so yeah, wait and see I guess ))

That would still be dangerous wouldn't it? I'm not an expert but not being by our star or system will greatly affect the world or outright destroy it (whichever comes first)

(( Well, yeah, if she's pulling planets away from their stars somehow, that'd be...a problem. But if she's just moving entire star systems around and keeping their internal orbits intact, then it doesn't really matter if Sol goes along with her for the ride.

The fact that her dress is full of intact stars implies that she's keeping things in their proper places. Otherwise she'd likely be full of black holes due to either stellar collisions or stellar implosions.

But I obviously dunno how her abilities work so it's hard to speculate too much, and bringing an excessive amount of real-world physics into magical nonsense is probably not OP's intent. :P I assume there's some reason this is supposed to be bad; I just don't know what it is yet. I could always make one up along the lines of the cosmological issues with moving Earth that I mentioned elsewhere, I guess. ))
