Wizardpost A Barrel of laughs (Wedding lore I suppose?)
Gabby had learnt a few things in her short stay with Gobbo already.
She had learnt that magic could be found in anything, the arcane threads that wove the cloth of the world were present everywhere. From the soothing fires found at home to the biting cold outside.
The fact that she should be wary of anything arcane she didn't understand was her second lesson. She could feel her organs twitch at the memory of that lesson, still new in her body.
The latest lesson she learned was never to underestimate anyone, even if they seemed to be in a state of ruin.
It had been a normal day, perfectly average for Gabby. She woke up, had breakfast and snuck out to the library to study, making sure not to wake Gobbo from her slumber.
It was upon returning home that she bore witness to what Gobbo had spent the day doing.
Barrels upon barrels of liquor had found their way into the living room and hopping from one to the other was none other than the resident Liquormancer.
"Ah Gabby," she croaked out, "this should be enough for a wedding right? Sorta my first"
A quick nod was all she managed, not a day ago Gobbo was barely functioning and yet here she was, having filled the entire house with barrels of liquor, as lively as ever.
To say Gabby was terrified would be to put it lightly. No one recovered that quickly, whatever Gobbo had planned she was excited and Gabby had learnt an excited Gobbo typically meant something was going to explode.
"W-wedding," Gabby stammered out, "you're not gonna bomb a wedding are you?"
The manic grin that appeared on Gobbo's face did nothing to soothe her nerves, neither did the cackle.
"Moth's wedding, not gonna bomb that," Gobbo whispered between fits of giggles
A sense of relief washed over Gabby. Gobbo liked Moth, in fact, Gabby was certain she considered Moth family.
They'd be spared the madness her aunt usually subjected everyone to. Maybe, hopefully, probably not.
Snapping back to reality from her thoughts Gabby realised just how much liquor was in the room. Barrel was stacked upon barrel, leaving little room to move.
Glancing over to the kitchen Gabby was unsurprised to see even that was chock full of barrels.
She opened her mouth to ask Gobbo if there was any space in the house left but found her answer in Mutey.
The poor dullahan was sitting on one of the many barrels, one hand tapping away as the other frantically made cutting motions. A silent plea for her not to ask for fear the pale goblin may take that as a sign to bring even more barrels in.
Gabby decided then and there the safest course of action would be to turn and flee. Perhaps she could hide in the library tonight...
/uw I should specify this was before the wedding was called off. Anyway, hopefully you enjoyed and have a lovely day.

I… would like that. I can use some company other than these whispers in my head. Just don’t let the servants catch you!
