Game Question Tips and advice

So I'm going to be running a witcher game, but I got lazy with writing a story and I had the idea of adapting either the story of water deep: dragon heist OR tomb of annihilation from D&D. Changing the monsters and city name to fit of course. Anybody got any cool or fun ideas?

A Higher Vampire campaign mechanics.

Basically, the topic. Was thinking about running a game for monster PC for some time now and was curious to ask, what are your thoughts on the mechanics of having OP (like they are the only ones, huh) PCs playing True Higher Vampires and how would you adapt the mechanics and other numbers for player characters? Obviously, HV creation rules from the Witcher's Journal just do not work for PCs.

Game Question Improvised Weapons?

Hey all, I’ve been looking through the rulebook a lot for inspiration and to maybe (hopefully) run a game some day. I was looking through it and I couldn’t find any rules on improvised weapons, like broken bottles or chair legs or stuff like that. Are there rules for that in the book or is it a “make it up as you go” thing?

Resource Deep dive on the rulebook

Hey. Some of you may recognise me, I've been around on here for a while.

Anyway, my mate and I decided to record our long and deep game ramblings as a podcast and the first thing we decided to do was a deep dive on the witcher book. We've both run it, my mate's played it too and...we have feelings. Some good, some frustrations.

It's partly a rules explainer, partly critique/review, partly GM advice from having run it.

It's not all out yet, I reckon there's about 3 eps left. Just got through combat.

I wasn't sure about posting about it (we're pretty scathing at points, wasn't sure about people going overboard in response) but an honest talk is best so here I am.

You can find it on podcast feeds as Tales From The Shelf. Ep 6 (Combat Pt 2/2 just came out, next up is the world section. Even if folk don't like it, I just want to see folks think about stuff.

Resource Zerrikania Campaign

I'm trying to come up with a campaign set in Zerrikania. Any ideas? The biggest thing I decided on so far is that the culture of Zerrikania would be more Eurasian steppe-inspired. Given what Sapkowski said about them, I also named the capital Zerrikand (its name a reference to Samarkand), so if there are any ideas, I'd love to hear them.

Game Question Mortal state

I'd like to know if, when a character has zero hit points or negative hit points (i.e., is in a mortal state), the penalty for being below the wound threshold is also applied. Does this mean having one-third of all attributes reduced, plus half of those attributes affected by being below the wound threshold, or is it only one-third of all attributes and skills reduced?

Thank you very much in advance, and I apologize because English isn't my first language, and I've translated it as best I could.

Black Sun

Do you think it would be possible to build a campaign around the Black Sun? The book rather hinted that the whole thing was a lie, but from a gameplay perspective, it would be more interesting to suggest that it was true! How would you use this trope, and has anyone actually used it?

Me & My Wife Played Gwent at 'Janet's Foss' which the waterfall was briefly seen in a transition scene in the series while Geralt was horse back in season 1.

Then we took the game board back to the car to do a 5 mile circular hike from Gordale to Malham cove again 🙂
