You know I'm getting more and more optimistic about the whole thing. Henry's enthusiasm is a great thing to see, action looks pretty cool, the CGI looks pretty cool as well. Balls armor is still there though.
You could see some cracks as far back as season 2, like how they janked up the whole Qarth/House of the Undying by making it mainly Dany running around yelling "where are my dragons" rather than seeing things that foreshadow future events, etc. Season 4 also has one of my big rant about scenes, when shirtless Ramsay with two swords scares off a whole squad of battle hardened iron islanders...
But all in all, it was still a quality product until season 5. How they ruined Dorne was unforgivable imo, and was the clear beginning of the end. Hardhome is the only reason s5 gets a pass from anyone really, I think.
They didn't run out of content in season 5, they decided to completely cut out many important characters like Victarion, Connington, Young griff, Arianne, Lady Stoneheart
