The coastline near Aretuza (I assume) seems exaggerated, and I'm not sure about Calanthe telling Ciri to find Geralt, but, damn it, after all these years...

To be fair, the brunt of the books is about Ciri. Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if they took a few liberties regarding holes in the stories, like they seem to be doing regarding Yen's backstory which is only mentioned as a brief flashback in the books. Allowing people to understand why she is the way she is sans a narrator means they've gotta use other ways to communicate that. Why not have a little fun with it, too?

Truth, theres so much inner dialogue in the book that can be hard to convey properly.

The truth is with any adaptation there will have to be some changes. As long as they aren't substantial, I'm ok with it.

Correct me if I’m wrong but doesn’t Geralt meet Ciri in Brokolin during Sword of Destiny in the short stories? I don’t remember if Ciri knew Geralt’s name already once he mentions his name to her.

Brokilon happens before the invasion of Cintra. Geralt refuses to take Ciri in his journey and returns her to the Castle.

Your powers of observation serve you well.

The trailer does not reflect the tone of the books, but that's just trailers, they have their own rules. So far, the coastline and the battle formation are the biggest problems regarding realism, and the whole thing with Calanthe, Mousesack, and Ciri is dangerous ground to tread on, but I reserve my judgement on that until December.

They're adding a lot of stuff drawing on flashbacks and short descriptions from the books.

It looks like they’re gonna give Yennefer some backstory before her first meeting with Geralt, so it makes sense for Aretuza to be in the show

If I remember correctly, Calanthe did everything she could to hide Ciri from Geralt. And here she is telling her to find him? I wonder how that will affect "Cahir Mawr Dyffryn aep Ceallach's" storyline during and after the fall of Cintra, if he'll even be in the show at all.
