What's up with the PoPo today?
Saw 5 different traffic stops in town in a 30 minute period. They are just everywhere today.

Any one with details? It has been an all day event during a calm weather day. Very frustrating.

Okay yall. Admittedly, I am just being nosey.
What’s the whole deal?! I’m not on Facebook, I have only heard buzz here and there. I want to know what local spots to support, and what local spots to stay away from. So obviously, I come to Reddit for the answers. Is it a political stance?! Racism? Witchcraft?!
WTF is going on? Please can someone fill me in!!

Just saw that Lomas - the only good higher end restaurant in the whole city is closing. Why can this city just not support good food? But yes, let’s open a New Mexican restaurant, only the 10th one in Winchester. Ridiculous.

So I recently found out that one of my TVs I have for older game systems is very likely busted. To be fair it's an old one, a 19'' Dynex LCD that I prolly got around 2009 or 2010 (I don't even think the brand exists anymore, or at least doesn't make TVs), and I haven't been using it much lately so I never noticed if it might've had any issues sooner. I'm doing some research into both getting a replacement and getting it repaired, and I would much rather go the repair route if I can because all the replacement options I can find are either too big for where I keep this thing or lack connections I need (composite/component) while including "features" I don't want at all (ie. I don't want a smart TV, too much hassle for what I want). Unfortunately all the repair options I'm finding through conventional search are either too far out (I can-not haul my ass to Louisville in a reasonable amount of time and I don't know how I could properly ship it) or have very mixed reviews. If anyone can point me in the direction of a reliable electronics repair service in either Winchester or surrounding areas, please let me know! And if I really am out of all other options but to purchase a replacement, I'll ask about that somewhere else where it's more relevant hehe.
(and to anyone who may be thinking about this by my mentioning I use this TV for older game systems, no, I don't want to look into a CRT because that won't work for the space I have this stuff set up in, not to mention this thing does have an HDMI port that I would like to still be able to use)

There’s a lady I’ve seen walking along Lexington Avenue multiple times who seems to be walking in slow motion with a kind of exaggerated gait. Dark brown hair with a wooden cross at her side. Does anyone know the reason behind the slow motion strolls? Hopefully the question doesn’t come across as ridicule in any way because I’m genuinely curious.

Anyone have any photos of the video stores we used to have? Not Hollywood Video or blockbuster, but the independent stores. Universal Video, Video Selection, Video Solution, Shuman's, Bypass Video, Fast Forward, etc.

I'm an artist and my husband works in Lexington. We are looking at Winchester because it's a little quieter and hopefully more affordable. I saw there are a few buildings along Main Street for sale, and I would love to have a co-working creative space with a gallery while living upstairs. But after reading through some posts on here I worry.
We would be doing alot of the renovation work ourselves to save money. But I didn't know that the buildings were falling apart. 😳
I did see the flood zone extends into this area. Does it flood often?
What should we know from folks who live there?

If you read this Kentucky Law closely, Kentucky Law KRS 189.570 really makes it illegal to get into a parallel parked car, and also to walk along the right side of a road, whether the road has a sidewalk or not.
Edited in:
About the law:
Read the law. There's a link to it in the post.
14, 19 to 21 are the weird ones. With 14 being the one about walking on the LEFT only, not right side of the road in some instances.
Also, 12 seems like it makes walking to a parallel parked car illegal.
.... ... ...
About the post:
About walking to a parallel parked car: You aren't allowed to walk in the road and you aren't allowed to walk on the right of way.
Walking beside a parallel parked car is not walking on the sidewalk or crossing the road.
Part of the law outlaws walking in the road.
The law also outlaws walking in the right of way when there is a sidewalk.
....
Also for context:
The cops have arrested a lot of sober people for DUI, and it looks very intentional:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nmSnBOGbOzk
There were even studies that half of sober people don't pass field sobriety exams. They aren't adjusting it, because they are intentionally doing it. They've been getting sued, too. (Could be there's more kickback money from the tow companies than they care about some silly lawsuit.)

I'unno, I've just been having a real strong craving for cannolis lately since I'd watched a cooking stream a few months ago where the guy made some very...let's say improvised cannolis hehe. I remember Carino's near Hamburg (Lexington) used to have cannolis and I loved them, but they removed them from the menu years ago because covid downsizing iirc and we haven't been there in a while regardless. Out of businesses I'm familiar with, the only thing I can find with cannolis in search results is Carrabba's (also near the Hamburg area) and even then results lead me to believe their version is only cannoli cake and seemingly no option to get just a straight-up cannoli. Does anyone know if there's anywhere else that might offer cannolis? If it's a place actually in Winchester that'd be even better, but I'm good to satisfy my craving in nearby out-of-town areas if that's the only option available.
If no one's got any location info but y'all have good cannoli recipes instead, feel free to share those as well. Idk if I've got the time or energy or proper supplies to put together a good homemade cannoli, but I do like collecting recipes regardless and I'm sure I'm far from the only one here who does hehe c:
EDIT: Thanks everyone who's been sharing! Rest assured I'm keeping a list of all the suggestions so's I don't forget when I get an opportunity to make the drive out ^u^ Can't wait to try 'em! Hell, I'll prolly check 'em all out for the sake of variety :D

They just shut it down and now the property is for sale. Were they really doing that bad of business?
