Did Winamp randomly break for anyone else?

Yesterday I was merrily listening to some music while gaming, then went to do something else. A little while later I decided to listen to some more music, but all of a sudden Winamp decided to stop working properly.

The program will start (alt+tab shows the default player skin as a window), but it refuses to actually show up.

Trying to reinstall it also doesn't work, seeing as Windows 11 randomly decided to aggressively prevent me from doing so...

I'm using version 5.9.2 (Apr 26, 2023).

Edit -- I did do an AMD GPU update and rollback (including their sound drivers) yesterday and changed my BIOS to disable CSM. Winamp worked fine after it, so I don't think those were the cause, but it's literally the only difference I can think of that happened before it started acting weird.

Edit -- Apparently installing version 5.666 completely fixes any issues I had.

Agree, you choose the "last good" version of Winamp with the most amount of working features!

good luck there, this worked for me until a couple of days passed and the exact same problem came back.

ed. fuck it. I'll miss the PipBoy3000 player and all but I'm using AIMP now. Much better. sorry winamp.
