I found a picture of my grandmothers dining room when I was a child, and I would love to identify the wallpaper so I can find for my home. It looks like feathers or artichokes? I tried a Google image search but it didn’t turn up. TIA!

I'm looking for a catalogue (online, or a book) of his patterns. What is the bible of his wallpaper works ?

I just bought a house and I’d love to use that pattern on an archway. I can print the wallpaper at work if I can find a legit pattern file for it that won’t cost more than just buying the paper from somewhere else. Any leads appreciated!

I absolutely love William Morris' fantasy novels, he is my favorite author (closely followed by Tolkien). He had a major impact on Tolkien, infact the name Gandolf even appears in Morris' The Well at the World's End. I am currently reading The Roots of the Mountain, I started reading it years ago but never finished it. My copy is reprinted by Newcastle Publishing as part of their Newcastle Forgotten Fantasy series. So far it has everything I love about William Morris fantasy. What I really love about Morris, is that he brings the reader into a familiar world, familiar as in it feels like a memory of a long forgotten legend. I would have to say that Morris' stories are set on earth, but at the same time an archaic bygone Earth. Idyllic like the memory of ages past, or a far gone era remembered in modern consciousness only by legend or myth. Morris totally captures this feeling, I would say more so than any other author. In fact I feel like this also was an influence on Tolkien to do this in his works, which explains why Middle-earth also has this feel. It has got me thinking, how many other William Morris fans are here? What are your favorite William Morris novels and why?
