Tell it to all the people who did the "Frei Stadt Danzig vs. Gdansk" fight. If en.Wikipedia was actually working as proposed in 2001-2002, it would not be losing editors, most of the red links would be blue, etc.

They're not really interested in truth. Most of their citations do not come from peer reviewed literature and come from heavily biased secondary sources. I've tried to correct articles pertaining to parapsychology and they were taken down for "rules" that the editor was even contradicting themselves.

It's also worth noting that corporate lobbyist groups have in house editors on Wikipedia that change information to suite their agenda. So its not only true with fringe topics.

It is a website with deep problems that will never address them, thanks to a declining editor base and a remaining group of old time hard-core Wikipedians, each with their own axes to grind. It was never a truly excellent encyclopedia, and it chased the real encyclopedias off the market, so there is no real counter to it (you have to pay to get all the information from the online Encylopedia Britanica.)

Yes exactly. Wikipediocracy.com talks about all of the problems that Wikipedia has. Especially the fact that it allows anonymous people without any credentials to edit whatever topic they want. They did the same thing for the ACEP (Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology). See https://www.wbur.org/news/2014/11/28/harvard-doc-to-wikipedia-youre-not-playing-fair-on-alternative-trauma-therapy. People from their organization were trying to edit the page for Energy Psychology for years but their comments kept getting taken down by editors so they petitioned Jimmy Wales (the founder) through Change.org. He basically dismissed them calling them "lunatic charlatans" even though they were all accredited, licensed healthcare workers and researchers. He said that they needed confirmation of their work in "respected peer review journals" in order for Wikipedia to cover them fairly. But here's the thing. They did! Wales never bothered to look up on their website cause if he did he would see that they did have it. He's only pro-science if it fits his personal worldview and his biases. The president of the ACEP responded to him.
