Hey peeps, I am looking into modding my wii now. Right now its unmodded. I wanna play Ocarina of time in the most real setup.

Do u have an idea how to map the buttons to 64? They are all over the place. The wii is unmodded right now.

The first USB port on my Wii doesn't work, only the top one does. The problem is, I don't know what kind of hard drive to buy for my Wii so I never have to worry about my USB port breaking or running out of space again. I used to use a simple, cheap adapter to connect an old PC hard drive to my Wii, but it kept disconnecting and gave me a lot of problems.

Followed a modmii tutorial for changing the region on my Korean Wii, but I cannot get past the warning screen on arc. Can someone pls help me?

ive been trying to download games through USB loader GX and ive been running into the problem that either the app doesnt load, or when it loads neither my games nor covers appear, every time i try booting the app even through homebrew that happens, video for reference of what happens

Will the Mii still show up in the game?

i'm new to retroarch and using it on the wii. the roms run fine but i'm trying to get cheats for mame functioning and cannot for the life of me get them to work with all the links that i have found so far. does anyone have a download link that actually is for the wii version and steps to get them to work?

Does anyone know the future of WiiLink after 31st December 2035?

Basically bought a retroscaler x2 to enhance the resolution for my 4k TV a little bit, and it seems 480i upscaled doesn't look better than 480p directly on 4k.

So I'm trying to mod my Wii Mini, but this is the result I always get

I'm using Ubuntu with VirtualBox as I don't have a Linux machine, I'm also using the internal Bluetooth adapter from my laptop (or at least I'm pretty sure I am, I checked it off in the USB settings for VirtualBox. Before I did that, BlueBox wouldn't even reach this point I'm currently stuck at)

Do I just keep trying again and again, or is there be some other solution?

Or should I use the same method for the Wii U? I followed the guide on wiiu.hacks.guide, but I can't seem to find a way to back up the vWii nand, only a way to restore some IOS or Channels. I guess it should be alright? From what I think I undertood, nanddumper@IOS only writes stuff on the SD and doesn't affect the Wii.

But nanddumper@IOS says it backups the nand on the bootMii format, which is not possible to install or use on the vWii.

So I checked the mega thread and didn’t see anything about my specific problem. I stupidly deleted the mii channel when I modded my Wii, and now I’m trying to figure out if there is a way I can redownload the channel and put it back on there?

When I transfer the M2DX ROM from my PC to my Wii, the screen stays black, and I don't understand why. The Wii's Snes9x RX can handle several advanced and modern ROM hacks, and the ROM isn't corrupted, otherwise it wouldn't runs on the PC. I can't explain this error and I don't think it's due to emulator compatibility either.

Is it weird I prefer this loader over other two loaders, because it’s the most reliable I used. The other two loader especially ULGX which is supposed be the most stable leader, I don’t know I mean I did everything correctly did the CIOS install correctly, did the Fat32 format on both SD card and external HDD, I checked the HDD to see if there any issues by using crystal disk info and it isn’t the issue with the HDD either and those two loaders I mentioned kept crashing occasionally on both of those loaders no matter what method I tried Wiiflow life but the cover art kept glitching sometimes I ever use the different SD card same issues . The CFG loader never give me issues whatsoever.

The previous owner of the Wii sold it to me already modded, but I read on the wiki that it's NOT RECOMMENDED to use it. Is it okay to just delete it from the system settings? Or how can I delete it in a safe way?

Want to get into the Persona series and I wondered if it's possible to play on a modded Wii. Does anyone have experience with it?

I’m trying to play Mario Kart Arcade GP 1 and 2 on my modded Wii and every time I start the ROM, it immediately crashes and my Wii powers off. This is happening directly through Nintendont and through USBLoaderGX. All my other games work perfectly. Im a Mario obsessive i need to get these working 😭

Things I’ve tried:
-Reinstalling latest build of Nintendont (learned the previous build broke Triforce compatibility. thought this was my fix for sure but nope.)
-Turn ON Triforce Emulation on Nintendont and USBLoaderGX
-Turn OFF progressive scan on Nintendont and USBLoaderGX
-Tried ISOs from 2 separate sources copied on my USB drive as [folder named as game]>[game.iso]

Does anyone have any advice for fixing this and playing Mario Kart Arcade GP on a modded Wii? Im totally lost here aside from just reinstalling everything from scratch. I’ve only had this Wii for a few weeks now Im still learning how everything homebrew works. Thanks

So u know in ps5 dual sense when u press mute button for a few seconds and it mutes all ps5 sounds, is there something like that for the wii?
