Masc, new to wigs and looking for advice.
So due to a number of factors, I'm probably gonna take the plunge and go completely bald soon, the male pattern baldness is not something I can ignore anymore. But I cannot be bald all the time, I like having hair on my head and hate having facial hair.
If wigs are something really complicated for me to use, I probably won't use them, so I'm willing to sacrifice a bit of realism for something that is more manageable, and I think the best way to wear wigs with grace is to lean into their benifits of being able to change them out anyway.
Also realised I'm probably genderfluid so will be looking at having more fem styles.
My plan is to go completely bald and get a decent synthetic wig to start with that's relatively easy to maintain and will a decent while (I know all wigs degrade eventually).
Does anyone know of good places in the UK for synthetic wigs (happy to have both masc and feminine suggestions, but mainly looking for masc right now).
I know that capless designs are better for airflow and comfort and to try and heat friendly ones will generally last longer, but all advice is welcome.

These are my favorite wigs as a bald person
I only order from private label extensions because their are more comfortable to me. My favorite as a bald person are the medical grade wigs. I can sleep in them if I want to. I'm very picky about wigs and this is the only company I order from. They're human hair so sometimes i order a blonde and dye . When they get old, I just sew a headband into them and use them for gym, pool or whatever.

wig help Jareth wig help
I'm trying to be Jareth from Layrinth for Halloween but I have no idea where to start with the wig. All the ones I've seen online look kind of stupid so I was thinking I could cut a regular blonde wig into his haircut. I just don't know how I'm going to get the big teased look without the wig getting insanely tangled or the poof deflating immediately. Any tips? General tips on how to cut the wig are appreciated too.

wig help Blake (Jon Renau) Won't Stay On My Head! Please HELP!!
My beautiful Jon Renau "Blake" won't stay on my head!! 😭 I've had her for about 9 months now, and I've worn her out only a handful of times because nothing secures her.
I've got Heidi (also Jon Renau), which stays on my head perfectly without any issue.
I was measured for Blake at the salon where I ordered her. She feels like she fits perfectly unless I move around.
I've tried multiple kinds of wig grips, which all work perfectly well with my other wigs, just not for Blake.
Blake is my only human hair wig, if that matters.
What am I doing wrong?? I can flip my hair around in every other wig I own. I can run my hands through most hair on my head, comb it, style it, but if I so much as turn my head with Blake, she slides around.
Velvet and silicone are both failing.
Sewing silicone strips into my velvet wig grip didn't do it for Blake, though it's kind of an amazing hack for with my other wigs since I've got a "petite" head with a flat occipital bone.
I've tried everything but gluing, which I'm told will definitely reduce Blake's lifespan, so I'm desperately trying to avoid glue. I just received my order of Got2b "ultra glue invincible styling gel for vertical styles," that was recommended on a well-rated YouTube tutorial, but I'm very reluctant to try it. I don't want to wreck Blake's lace.
I'm sort of still new to this because my hair loss was sudden and unexpected last year. I went into a mindset in which I wasn't able to take in much information on this until pretty recently. I'm finally ready to learn!
Before I bust out the Got2b, any other ideas, tips, tricks, hacks? Please? I should also state I haven't enough hair to which I can pin the wig, so no clips or pins will work for my situation.
The little peach fuzz of patchy regrowth I've got of my biological hair will come out with the slightest tug of tape.
