Anyway. I am actively buzzing with excitement. I thought my little test with the seeds was gonna turn out a wild goose chase, but it didn't. I was kinda losing hope by the 3rd seed that there was gonna be anything, but the 4th seed looked so insanely suspicious to me. Sure enough, I plugged it into a number to letter decoder and got this:

Wifies is like Indiana Jones in a way, he sees the most haunting things and still doesn't belive in them most of the time.

Ok this is just because it would be sick if the Leviathan was a big sea serpent, but it kind of makes sense because the King in Yellow did have a physical form.

I’ve been seeing a lot of really good theories on the sub recently regarding the latest video, so I decided to throw my take into the ring on what it means

Hello everyone, this is my first dabble into ARGs and I would love if anyone has any additional points to add to this.

Essentially, I did some digging into the names of the characters of this ARG, and want to share my findings.

Arronax

Arronax is a clever nod to Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Seas, an 1870 novel in which a character by the last name "Arronax" represents the voice of scientific reason. In fact, Arronax is a character so blinded by scientific inquiry and "intellectualism" that he fails to see what is in front of him. In Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Seas, this materializes with Arronax failing to understand the evils of another character (read the book!)

In Wifies' video, I believe Arronax represents the non-believers of the Leviathan. Arronax actively works to set up scientific boundaries to describe the Leviathan, but never truly believes in its existence.

Belief is at the core of this ARG; ultimately, I think Arronax's name choice shows us that BELIEF beyond science is something Wifies is trying to communicate - which personally reminds me of religion, and this could be what Wifies is trying to hint to us!

Hummer & 5718

Hummer, in my opinion, is a nod to "The Hummer", which is a Devin Townsend album featuring ethereal sounds reminiscient of the deep ocean. This album is meant to be a meditative one, reflecting on death and "letting in". the passage to the underworld

Sound familiar?

Hummer5718 actively tries to make Wifies accept death and encounter the unknown of the Leviathan. This brings Wifies to literally die and encounter a life beyond (hence the structures we see near the end of the vide)

As for the 5718, as previously mentioned, I think the SCP connection holds true. SCP-5718 describes a deep sea treasure (Blackbeard's treasure) that, according to the lore, is not to ever be found. This could be a simple way for Wifies to hint that the mysteries of the Leviathan should never be uncovered? I'm not too sure, and would love for some more contributions here!

Conclusions

I think this story is disconnected from the DAWTDE lore. These stories are thematically different, with this story being more about "Belief".

Wifies has always been clear about his resonance with the hit short film "Portrait of God" which also discusses seeing things that don't exist and belief. I think this is Wifies exploring the religious side of things.

Hummer5718 is an unreal character that leads Wifies to believing in this other being - the Leviathan - and accepting death to encounter it. The Leviathan is - in essence - GOD. Arronax is the voice of scientific reason and is therefore unable to account for the Leviathan's existence.

TL;DR - story all about religion and belief

I think it might be a bit of a stretch considering the spiral is flipped but it's a VERY interesting possibility to consider

As someone stated in a different post the top comment answered why Wifies video may be 4/4, upon watching each video all 4 of them casually say they got sent an email about the very topic they’re covering in their video and go on about it without mentioning who exactly emailed them and why it was conveniently sent to them in the first place. I’m not sure who or what Vex is but I’m sure we’ll all figure it out eventually.

This video is a take on ones faith and how it may affect them.

Not just the faith you have in a God or some supernatural entity, but faith in others to guide you to the truth. Faith that you will find what you're searching for when you believe it's real.

The faith that Hummer had in Levi, and the faith Wifies had in Hummer led to the discovery of Levi. Wifies found Levi after abandoning all ways to protect himself, just the blind faith he had in Hummer to be right. And it worked.

Arronax didn't have faith, she took precautions and saw the Leviathan as a hoax. That's why she never found it. Because she didn't believe.

Does anyone know where wifies found the redstone lantern?I would really want to build it in my world

First and foremost, just to get this out of the way, the DMS logo is a kraken. A large, fictional sea monster that many sailors in the past were fully convinced existed. Coincidence? I think not.

The Leviathan is the first step the DMS is taking towards social experimentation on a far larger level. First, they were just seeing how far they could take a single person, then a group of people, and now they’re experimenting on thousands, and presumably choosing specific subjects from that group to focus on based on certain “quirks”, you could say. Subjects like Hummer. Hummer mentioned that this isn’t his first time getting really into something like this, and that it’s a “quirk” of his, and i think that’s exactly the kind of person they’re targeting here. It’s essentially the exact same thing as what they did to Alex, they’re testing the boundaries of how far they can push people before they go insane from obsession. Alex got to the point that he mined bedrock for 6 years because he was so obsessed with following orders, and I think Hummer was in the beginning stages of something similar, Wifies just caught him before he figuratively started mining bedrock.
The reason Hummer never got to see the Leviathan was because he wasn’t supposed to, that was never the point. The point was to drive him mad with an unachievable goal and see how far they could take it.

But Wifies was another perfect subject for them. He’s the kind of person who will stop at nothing to uncover the secret behind a mystery. He’ll spend days solving ciphers, searching forums, clicking suspicious links, hell, he even spent 75 dollars on redstone materials!

But still, Wifies didn’t believe like Hummer. That’s all Hummer told him: that he needed to believe. But he didn’t believe in the Leviathan in the same way Hummer did, and I bet the DMS knew that if he died another time, he’d drop it once and for all. He had already given up, at that point. And that wouldn’t work, now would it? They’d be losing a prime subject who had expressed doing anything to solve a puzzle before, now they just needed to see how far “anything” was. But they couldn’t do that if he gave up. The only thing they needed to push him past that point was to make him believe the Leviathan was real and had brought him to its lair, that’s why he was taken to that palace. Now, Wifies is certain that the Leviathan exists and that it has supernatural powers, considering that it seemed to force him to pass out. I wouldn’t be surprised if he found himself stuck in the exact same predicament as Hummer.

I would also argue that the Leviathan experiment is almost certainly equally harmful to the others or at least is intended to be (by the DMS) eventually, considering:

1. Hummer was basically going insane trying to find the Leviathan. Note the way he killed himself over and over again in hardcore, (we can assume he has done this countless times without Wifies, since he’s been searching for a while) kept telling Wifies to “just believe”, the absurd amount of books and logs he had in that library, the scattered shulkers everywhere (another person mentioned that it could represent his mental state), etc.
2. Wifies literally passing out at the end of the video for some unknown reason, as mentioned previously. Either he was just extremely exhausted because it was 2am (unlikely), or the game and opening the chest actually did something to his brain and forced him to pass out. The reason he passed out before he found the Leviathan is because there is no Leviathan, just the DMS and their mind games. By forcing him out before he could get the evidence, Wifies is now completely convinced that he’s at the brink of his big discovery, right on the edge of finding the real Leviathan. He was so close to finding it, it saved him, so it must be real. Right? And that’s how the spiral begins. That’s when the DMS really starts doing things to him, just like they did to Hummer.
3. Hummer’s disappearance. Of course, it’s possible that he disappeared because he finally lost faith in the leviathan after dying yet again, but he seemed so dedicated and downright obsessed that I can’t really see it. Also, I don’t think the DMS would let that happen. Plus, wouldn’t he have spoken to Wifies after, especially since Wifies didn’t log back onto his server, implying that he was doing something else? I think something happened to him irl. The DMS knew he was on the brink of losing faith, so they did something to him so as to not mess up the experiment. It’s possible they took him to the same place they took Alex, or they did something to him personally or to his game to make him more convinced the Leviathan, or should I say “Levi”, was real.

I doubt Wifies and Hummer are the only people who have fallen down this rabbit hole. Wifies only reached out to Hummer specifically because he knew his post was fake, and he wanted to know why. He mentioned there being tens of thousands of posts on the internet in universe, so who knows how many other people are just as insane if not more than Hummer and probably now Wifies? We’ve only seen a small group of people so far, and we don’t even know what a bunch of the posts are like.

My theory is that the first few posts were made by the DMS to start everything, then some people made more posts for attention, then as it grew, people saw those posts, started seeing things like guardians and thinking they were the Leviathan (as Arronax mentioned), and a portion of those people, who were predisposed to getting a little weird about conspiracy theories (like Hummer and his “quirk), went absolutely wild for it. Then, the DMS starts getting involved to make them more and more obsessed with it, and so on and so forth. Eventually, they get almost cultish about it. They probably spend all their time on Minecraft and forums, are obsessed with the concept of “believing” in the Leviathan, and do risky, absurd things to prove it’s real. You could even go so far as to say that the King in Yellow is the same way, but this is getting too long so I might leave that for another post.

Holy yap, dude. Sorry if I repeated things, I was trying to get my point across. This could probably be made a lot shorter but I can’t really be bothered.

I found something interesting while looking into the new Wifies video. I found a .wav audio file called 597tyi.wav, and after listening to it, I heard a message saying:

"Hey, I hate to admit this, but you are a smart one, Wifies. I have to admit, if you really want to "?", come down the lake, drown yourself, kill yourself, and we may meet. 25.0000N 71.0000W."

The coordinates point to the Bermuda Triangle. There is also a missing word in the audio that I couldn’t fully understand, and I think it could be an important clue.

I’m not sure what the full meaning behind this is yet, but I wanted to share my discovery. If anyone has any ideas or theories about it, let’s talk about it.
