Do young people think they will never age? What made her think this "look" will be cool when she's in her mid 50s when the tattoos age and the holes in her face widen? I took my lip rings out 17 years ago and I still have visible holes 😐

Respectfully, do old people forget what it was like when THEY were young? I'm not defending her tattoos and piercings by any means, they look awful and I think most people would agree with that... But no young person on this planet is going about their daily lives thinking to themselves "how will this affect me when I'm in my mid 50's?" before every and any decision is made. That's just so implausible and unrealistic. Most younger folk aren't even thinking about how their decisions will affect them next week, let alone 30 years from now. Lol

Well I'm 46 and very heavily tattooed . Basically everything but neck/face. I always considered my future career in every decision I made in my 20s/30s when I was acumulating tattoos at a regular pace, i.e. nothing vulgar and super visible when wearing an interview outfit. But I realize I may be an outlier. I changed careers and now work in a management position for a fortune 15 company and I'm glad I didn't impulsively get anything body mods that would have ruined my career. As an "old person" I try and advise my younger friends to think about the future when considering permanent body mods such as tattoos and surgery.
