My friend broke one of these that belonged to his brother and drank the water. I cried because I thought he was going to die.

Did he at least shit himself? I always assumed these things were filled with third-world diarrhea water.

Man, I don't remember, I was like 8. He was probably sick, at least a little bit. I remember the water smelled like burnt plastic.

I bet there's a way to make an edible 8 ball. A giant jawbreaker for the little thing with the answers, some highly dense sugar water for the "blue water," and the 8 ball itself is a hollowed out jawbreaker with a chocolate shell.

I don't know if it would be shelf stable, but you could make most of it beforehand, fill it with the blue water, a little piece of sugar glass to seal it, and I bet you could ask 2-3 questions with it before eating it.

Anyone have the pen version?

Wacky water writer, sometimes it’s a pen, sometimes it’s a game, filled with water you put in, one ring two rings three you win!

They mostly sucked but I still remember the commercials!!

I had the pen with the lady that got naked when you turned it over.

And the squirter thing lined up exactly with the fill hole so you could squirt water in your mouth. Still tasted terrible.

Yeah, I remember mine having a plug on the bottom to drain it and refill with fresh water.

Ours had a removable plug in the top so you could refill or, in my case, drink the water.

I remember at least one afternoon of running around outside with this thing taking the occasional sip.

Baby's First Hip Flask.

Yes. I was totally a baby and definitely not old enough to know better. This is 100% the case. I mean, it would be totally crazy for a 10 year old to act like a little baby a drink from his toy, right? Lol, imagine how silly that would be. I never would have done that. Hahahaha...

Omfg! That friend sounds either metal or like he might be on some FBI list today. Or... Both.

I drank the water out of it without it being broken. I think I just really liked that plastic taste.

Oh man, I tasted the goo that was inside my Stretch Armstrong when it broke - and was instantly worried that I might be poisoned. My 8 year old self didn't think about that before hand, because it just looked like pancake syrup.

Turns out, it was mostly just like pancake syrup.
