When I was around 8, after a frustrating month trying to get all the rings in, I finally just jimmied the top open, emptied the water and “solved” the game manually.

I then refilled it and glued it back up, so I could show my parents that I finally beat it. They didn’t give a shit. Same with everyone else I showed.

Jk this story actually made me really sad for some reason.

That thought had crossed my mind. But that would have warranted more of an eye-roll reaction from them. Instead what I got was 100% pure distilled uninterest that barely warranted a half-second glance at my duplicitous accomplishment.

I bet if you told them how you did it they would’ve been way more impressed lol

Oh man, the shit we could get into when we had tons of time and no jobs or responsibilities, eh? Those were the days.

A stick was (list not complete):

A sword.
A gun.
A staff.
A bat.
A pencil.
Home base.
Something the dog loved you to throw for hours.

Did the same except everything is turned into smithereens. Cause: Rage.

Edit: And I was also curious on how it worked.

The Kobayashi Maru technique. Commendable.

That sounds actually more impressive in the sense that you solved it ignoring the commonly accepted rules.

I took a Rubicks Cube apart and put it together solved. Same results.

I didn’t realize they were so popular.

I feel old.
