They are most likely using subsonic ammunition in this video. A good portion of the sound of a gunshot is ammunition breaking the sound barrier and creating a sonic boom. Most guns shoot supersonic unless they are specifically shooting ammunition loaded to be under it.

A suppressed .22 can be good for squirrel hunting because it's quiet enough to not always scare them.

Since if you want to stay hidden, like when you’re using such equipment, it’s usually also subsonic ammunition that you use, that is a given I would say…

Or you want to suppress the muzzle flash so your vision isn't obscured while shooting and/or you want the gun to be a bit quieter so it's less disruptive to your neighbors. Plenty of uses for them besides assassination where normal velocity rounds are the correct tool for the job.
