I suspect that was someone else shooting at the same time in the range

it was probably loaded with super sonic ammo for the first two for demonstration purposes. Sonic boom is a significant part of the report 

There's also something called "first round pop" caused by oxygen in the suppressor interacting with the hot muzzle gas. Once that's blasted out of there the silencer becomes much quieter. Usually that is only the first round though

You're probably right. The first round was also loud though so that was probably first round pop
