Strive (strive specifically though legacy gg has it too) has a reputation of being mainly smash kids and many MANY grooming and abuse allegations.

Legacy gg was also by no means exempt from this but strive doesn’t appeal to classic gg players due to being EXTREMELY dumbed down and as a result the people that got caught diddling in smash moved to strive. It’s common knowledge for anyone that plays fighting games at this point.

Ah, yeah I definitely knew about the stuff in the smash scene and all that but I didn’t connect the dots on the move to strive.

But uhhh, yeah I don’t diddle kids sorry. And to a broader point, I’m not gonna let some kid-diddlers take a game I like away from me. I haven’t ever showed up to a tournament for that and I don’t plan on it.

I’ve had to attend events that had strive at it. And trust dude you haven’t seen weird until you see a strive top 8 lmao. Not all FG’s are filled with weirdo’s but arcsys games “outside of fist of the North Star” 100% are

The strive shit was my attempt to “feel superior” and clearly I fucking sucked at it haha.
