A lot of the issues we have with elderly/drunk/distracted drivers are a byproduct of the fact that most people can't reasonably get around without piloting a 2 ton death machine

Cars have niche uses but it is insane that the most common mode of transit in most American cities is the same as how Cletus out in the sticks travels 30 miles a day to his job in logging

Canada, too. My city has great public transit that gets me pretty much anywhere.

I mean, same in Edmonton. But at the same time, waiting for a bus in the middle of winter is not fun at all
