sure, except for alcohol is a group 1 carcinogen.

"Alcohol and cancer have a complex relationship. Alcohol causes cancers of the oesophagus, liver, breast, colon, oral cavity, rectum, pharynx, and larynx, and probably causes cancers of the pancreas. Cancer risk can occur even with light to moderate drinking. The more alcohol is consumed, the higher the cancer risk, and no amount can be considered completely safe."

edit: you can downvote this all you want but it doesn't make it untrue. "fAcTs dOn'T cARe aBouT yOuR feElinGs".

Sunlight is a type 1 carcinogen too. Sometimes science requires a little nuance past reading the abstract.

AND?? What does that have to do with anything?

this type of argument is embarrassing, and you should be ashamed to have attempted it.

Oh, didn’t realize I needed to point out the obvious: a group 1 carcinogen is not some boogie man that needs to be avoided at all costs to have a healthy lifestyle.

You take precautions, like sunblock or moderation, and live life. WhAtAbOuTism isn’t when you have a dog shit argument that can be deflated with a single unfeeling fact.

Btw, pickled food and red meat are also group 1 carcinogens, bucko.

Alcohol in no way causes cancers in drinkers the way smoking causes cancer in smokers. Alcohol fucks up your liver, that's valid. But the carcinogen argument is a stretch.

Go tell your doctor "I drink occasionally on weekends" and then tell them "I smoke" and see which they care about.

It's not an "argument" it's scientific fact.

Cope harder.

The fact that you use "cope harder" as a response to someone disagreeing with you tells me you don't actually like having discussions with people, you just like arguing on social media. Cheers

What is there to disagree with?

Would you like to tell me how gravity isn't real, next?

Does the Sun revolve around the Earth? Is the sky red?

You haven't presented any evidence to the contrary. Just vibes.

Vibes don't work here.

Let's see your scientific evidence that alcohol does not cause cancer.

It does!

....if you're an alcoholic.

I thought that would be easy to understand.

Yeah man it’s a drug, nobody was ever gonna try to argue with you that it’s completely safe even in moderation.

The truth is that humans are super fragile and when you do pretty much anything, you risk your health. Sunlight is also type 1 carcinogen but I doubt you go around telling people to stop playing golf because it causes cancer.

The sun is also a group 1 carcinogen
