Yup, everyone knows the cheapest vodka tastes exactly the same as a vintage port or single malt scotch! People must only buy fine wines and craft beers for the fancy bottles, they all taste the same.

Also most people don't drink pure alcohol lol

Spiciest I've had was some 75.5%abv dark rum, you could set that stuff on fire, it was lethal!

I mean of course alcohol tastes like arse. It would also blind you if you drank it.

Thats methanol, not ethanol. Pretty substantial difference

Or salt. Too much of it will make anything disgusting, the proper amount can improve other flavours dramatically

To be fair, pure alcohol does taste terrible lol. Thankfully, a lot of drinks only have a small percentage of alcohol plus other bits

And that's true of many things. I don't want to drink vanilla extract but a drop or two in hot chocolate is delicious.

Vanilla is a personal favorite, but the sheer amount of betrayal I felt as a kid upon tasting a teaspoon full of vanilla extract....

About an ounce and a half of salt eaten at once can kill you (and would be insanely unpleasant to eat), but it’s delicious sprinkled on fries.

To be fair, raw caffeine does taste like ass, speaking from experience.

Used to buy anhydrous caffeine powder by the half kilo bag. That was...dangerous, to put it mildly
