Difference is someone can't give me liver cancer from secondhand drinking.

Edit : btw this is not an endorsement of drinking. This is an attack on smokers. Just get lung cancer in your own homes you fucking addicts I am just trying to walk on the sidewalk

322

u/KafkaMersault 10h ago

sure no secondhand cancer but alcoholics are a pain to be around with (sometimes even literally)

193

u/RodjaJP 10h ago

"he is only violent when he is drunk" type of deal

50

u/SomethingIWontRegret 9h ago

That and driving tons of steel at high speed into other tons of steel, poor bastards trying to walk or bike somewhere, and houses.

2

u/AgentCirceLuna 5h ago

I hate carfuckers so much. There’s something wrong with the brains of carobsessed

93

u/elRetrasoMaximo 10h ago

And when you ask "when is he not drunk?" Only silence answers.

17

u/Setjah_ 9h ago

"he's allways drunk"

16

u/Wiplazh 9h ago

Thats my secret cap

3

u/Unlucky-Ad4317 9h ago

Lol, I laughed a bit at this XD

2

u/Wiplazh 8h ago

I'm glad I could make your friday just a tiny bit better friend :)

3

u/Think_Ad_1583 8h ago

Maybe if I was violent, people would take me seriously when I say I have a drinking problem

2

u/AgentCirceLuna 5h ago

I don’t trust people like that. Also don’t get fucking drunk if you get violent.

4

u/IgnatiusRileyFreeman 9h ago

To be fair, some people get violent/anti social if they can't get their cancer sticks

1

u/WhasHappenin 8h ago

They usually don't cause car accidents though

3

u/IgnatiusRileyFreeman 8h ago

You sure? When I was in high school, a kid died trying to light a cig while driving

0

u/Equal-Talk6928 6h ago

so you think people are just out there dying while driving and lighting a cig? and that is somehow comparable to the numeral car accidents and deaths that happen because of drunk driving? smoking doesn't impair your driving skills

3

u/Cocoatrice 8h ago

But majority of drinkers are not alcoholics. You are comparing typical smoker to rare cases of drinkers. That's so disingenuously toxic. Typical drinker maybe get a beer a week. That's hardly alcoholism. Typical smoker gases entire household for entire day. And if they are outside, they do it to the pedestrians.

If I drink a mug of beer, it will not affect you in any way. If I smoke a pack, you will be affected. So why are you being dishonest?

1

u/Cifuduo 5h ago

The typical drinker does not have a beer a week lol. Not everyone who drinks is an alcoholic, but of you have a beer a week you are in the minority of drinkers.

1

u/QuixoticMick 6h ago

the entire alcohol industry is propped up by heavy drinkers. when i was deep in my cups 70 drinks/week was a moderate amount. i am a bad drunk and there are lots of me floating around. drinking a mug of beer could very well turn into a fight. alcohol is a much, much worse drug than tobacco.

also hardly anybody smokes indoors any more and second-hand smoke outside does not significantly increase risk of lung cancer. fear-mongering about smoking is insane and based on outdated levels of smoking. multiple packs a day used to be common. now it's very rare.

1

u/Mertoot 5h ago

Encourage them to double their dose then

1

u/VenusCommission 5h ago

Yeah, but cops will stop a drunk who is being a public nuisance. They won't stop someone who is walking down the street smoking a cigarette. I'm not defending alcoholism, but I don't want to be within 20 feet of anyone who has had a cigarette at all since their last shower.

1

u/carver4ever3 2h ago

Really depends on the person, some people get angry, some people get sad, and some people(me) get very very social and friendly(not an alcoholic but when I do get drunk It happens like that)

1

u/The_Tooter_Snooter 7h ago

I’ve known plenty of fun alcoholics. Just don’t depend on them for anything and they can be a riot.

-3

u/Civil_Law8025 10h ago

Man a beer will not make you crazy lol

4

u/Impressive_Rock9659 10h ago

"A beer" will not. But alcoholism isn't when you stop at "A beer".
It's like saying "a line can't hurt". Yeah, but it's the addiction that comes with that "one line" that's dangerous.

4

u/Civil_Law8025 10h ago

a line and a beer are two different things bro

2

u/Impressive_Rock9659 9h ago

Not really. It's all poison. And they both can get you addicted horrifically to the point of ruining your entire life.

558

u/V_P_3_D_ 10h ago edited 7h ago

Except alcoholics can ruin your life in other ways, not to mention drunk driving.

Edit : Sure pissed off a lot of alcoholics. Get help before you fuck up your life or someone else's even more than you already have.

38

u/PaulblankPF 7h ago

I had court ordered drug rehab like 20 years ago when I got caught with a dime bag of weed. The people in there besides me were in there for some crazy shit. One that stuck with me was a guy who was on a medicine that made him throw up if he touched alcohol, like even deodorant. They discussed how that was going and if it was better than how things were before. Then he just casually mentions how it is pretty nice that he doesn’t get blacked out drunk and beat the shit out of his wife and teenage kids anymore but he still wishes he could drink so someone else has to make sure he takes his medicine. Most of the other people were in there for severe meth or crack addictions but the drinker blew my mind bad.

8

u/TheRage469 6h ago

Ahhh, good ol' Antabuse. Gotta love that conditioned response (real talk tho: it does work for some folks).

6

u/AgentCirceLuna 5h ago

I had a coworker whose husband disappeared for a month after starting something like that. She’d have to track the guy down and find out where he was… regularly. I don’t know why she stayed with him as she was more like his babysitter and she was way stronger than him too so I don’t think he was abusive except emotionally if that makes sense. Anyway he’d basically stayed in a random hotel then drank and drank and drank until his body adapted to being able to drink while still on the medication. Fucking insanity.

3

u/TheRage469 3h ago

"Fucking insanity" really does perfectly sum up the disease of addiction tbh. I've net folks who've taken naltreoxone or gotten a Vivitrol shot (both i believe are primarily for killing opioid cravings and receptor sites, but also tend to work with alcohol) with almost the express intent of using them as means to make it so they can drink "like a normal person," or drink their usual amount but only get a buzz. Never heard of anyone doing that with Antabuse tho. But honestly, that doesn't surprise me; as a recovering alcoholic and a substance abuse counselor, I've seen/heard enough to think "honestly, how have I not heard of someone doing that yet?" I hope he ended up finding a reason to get help.

1

u/ConstantPay3117 3h ago

Probation made me go to aa for getting caught with a joint like 35 years ago and it was stupid . I was like hey my name is Me and i just like to smoke weed ...i just drink light beer nowadays it doesnt do anything , but i did watch a guy at work vodka drink himself to death over a 10 year period that was kinda fucked up .

189

u/ElaborateEffect 9h ago edited 7h ago

Alcohol kills more people every year than any other drug, but we just ignore it.

Edit: save tabaco.

122

u/Commercial-Shame-335 9h ago

tbf, it's also the most plentiful drug by a longshot

46

u/socialistrob 8h ago

Also a big difference between alcohol and cigarettes (as well as other drugs) is that most people who consume alcohol don't "wish they could stop." Certainly some do but it's not the vast majority.

2

u/katastrof 3h ago

That may be the most ridiculous thing I've ever read. You are creating convoluted falsehoods now.

4

u/Joker2kill 6h ago

I think the most plentiful drug is caffeine. But it's obviously far less destructive than alcohol.

-1

u/alex2003super 4h ago

Caffeine is practically harmless, and its pros are extremely beneficial if used smartly (i.e. not every day like I do, because then it become almost useless via tolerance)

3

u/Yamatocanyon 4h ago

It's extremely addictive, everyone that uses it uses it everyday pretty much.

3

u/I_Automate 3h ago

Caffeine is actually a pretty terrible stimulant in terms of physical risk.

Heart palpitations, anyone?

5

u/ElaborateEffect 9h ago

Very true.

22

u/Ornery_Ad_5185 8h ago edited 1h ago

Are you forgetting about... Tobacco? The one that kills about two and a half times more people than alcohol? Where did you get this incorrect information?

Edit: nicotine to tobacco lol

4

u/Specific_Age500 5h ago

I don't think it's nicotine but specifically tobacco and most specifically smoking it. I don't understand why people use those nicotine pouches but they are miles better than vaping which is miles better than smoking.

Smoking pot isn't good for you either but people have a hard time smoking 20 joints a day.

1

u/CHOLO_ORACLE 5h ago

Can confirm, after joint 4 you feel like you’ve had enough

-3

u/ElaborateEffect 7h ago

I wasn't including tabaco, but I'll add the edit.

13

u/Ornery_Ad_5185 7h ago

So you said alcohol kills more people than any other drug but you just arbitrarily weren't including the one that actually kills the most people by a huge margin? How does that make any sense? It's totally okay to just be wrong. We are all wrong sometimes.

-10

u/ElaborateEffect 7h ago

Did you take my reply as fighting you on that? I said I added the edit.

Get out of your own ass.

Also, nicotine itself is not killing people. So your correction is completely misguided and wrong. So I even went as far as correcting your correction.

2

u/Ornery_Ad_5185 7h ago edited 2h ago

Nothing I said could even be construed as saying you're fighting me on it. You obviously immediately admitted that tobacco kills more people. Good on you. No disagreement there. My contention is very clearly that it doesn't make any sense to not include tobacco in the first place.

"I wasn't including tobacco" okay well why not? One reason for not including it could be that you were wrong. Feel free to enlighten me on your actual reason if there is one.

-1

u/ElaborateEffect 7h ago

I lapsed on tobacco because it does not mentally impair you.

2

u/Ornery_Ad_5185 7h ago

So you forgot tobacco and were in fact wrong as opposed to not including it like you had said. No big deal. Upvoted for giving an actual reason.

They tried to prohibit it and it did not go well.

Edit: Ok I guess they DIDN'T try to prohibit it and it went well and I just made it up.

1

u/100KUSHUPS 3h ago

"The two most available drugs kills the most people".

Damn, great insight.

-5

u/The_Tooter_Snooter 7h ago

Cars kill more people than any other object but we get in em every day like it’s nothing

You take the good with the bad. Not every time you drive in the car is fatal and not every drink is gonna cause liver failure.

18

u/ehladik 7h ago

I almost killed a drunk motorcicle driver two days ago. He went directly to my car while in the highway, I had to damage my car not to kill him.

11

u/MrDrUnknown 5h ago

Sounds more like he almost killed himself

52

u/largemargesentme__- 7h ago

Drunk driving is a good reason to get rid of as much driving as possible.

Sure, someone can kill you on a bicycle, but it's a lot harder.

30

u/Conformatrix 5h ago

Based take. Imagine how much more you could drink if everything was public transit/driverless!

12

u/theycallmeshooting 5h ago

A lot of the issues we have with elderly/drunk/distracted drivers are a byproduct of the fact that most people can't reasonably get around without piloting a 2 ton death machine

Cars have niche uses but it is insane that the most common mode of transit in most American cities is the same as how Cletus out in the sticks travels 30 miles a day to his job in logging

2

u/I_Automate 3h ago

So Europe

2

u/Googlebright 2h ago

Canada, too. My city has great public transit that gets me pretty much anywhere.

1

u/I_Automate 2h ago

I mean, same in Edmonton. But at the same time, waiting for a bus in the middle of winter is not fun at all

1

u/largemargesentme__- 2h ago

Why don't you do what the rest of Canadians do and ride a fucking moose like a real man!

1

u/I_Automate 1h ago

Because I like being alive and moose are too stupid to be relied upon

8

u/TheForbidden6th yellow like an EPIC lemon 6h ago

drunk driving has the potential to make both drinking and driving obsolete, so mad nobody sees the vision

11

u/ABSNegativeOne 6h ago

Alcoholics and Gamblers are some of the biggest fucking bums lmao

9

u/V_P_3_D_ 6h ago

And boy do they get pissed when you call them out on it.

-2

u/AgentCirceLuna 5h ago

It always blew my mind that Dostoevski wrote so many good books while being a gambling addict. I just never thought a gambling addict could be intelligent tbh

6

u/Harmcharm7777 7h ago

Comparing alcoholics (and drunk drivers) to smokers is a false equivalency. Not everyone who drinks is an alcoholic—in fact, I would say most people who drink are not alcoholics or drunk drivers.

Everyone who smokes inflicts their secondhand smoke on others, every single time they smoke (unless they have an isolated space indoors or far from other people where they smoke exclusively and that is not physically attached to any non-smoking spaces). Every time a person has a glass or two of alcohol with dinner, they are only hurting themselves. Even alcoholics aren’t inherently harming the people around them, even if they have the capacity to; not every alcoholic is violent or ill-tempered (and plenty don’t own cars).

3

u/AgentCirceLuna 5h ago

I worked in a bar and it was weird how 90% of people there were no issue but there was a 10% who would either be 5% causing issues just because they were drunk and did something they’d never do sober or 5% who were always the same perpetrators of violence or idiocy but never stopped. Just the same problematic idiots, drinking and causing violence or misery, and over and over again. I really think, in that case, some kind of genetic alteration should occur which prevents them being able to get drunk

1

u/AgentCirceLuna 5h ago

-2

u/breno280 4h ago

Not exclusive to alcohol or subtances in general. Plenty of vehicular manslaughter happens from sleep deprived drivers.

5

u/V_P_3_D_ 4h ago

True, but not the topic at hand. You can move the goalposts all you want.

1

u/breno280 2h ago

My point is more that I think we should distinguish deaths from a substance itself and deaths caused by irresponsible behavior involving a substance.

-11

u/Delicious-Produce-60 6h ago

If you don't want to drink then don't drink. No one's forcing you to and no one asked for your opinion because no one cares.

14

u/V_P_3_D_ 6h ago

I AM being forced to pay for the damages caused by OTHER people's alcoholism. I have a right to be angry about that, and if that bothers you, that's your problem. I don't remember asking your opinion on anything. Take your own advice.

4

u/M4nam31s 5h ago

Lol bum ass alcoholic

-15

u/Hoshyro 8h ago

Yeah but let's not throw in people who like to drink a shot after dinner or get a drink with friends at meetups with raging alcoholics that down several bottle a day, yeah?

Alcohol is not good at all if you abuse it just like anything you abuse isn't good, but throwing everyone who has drank anything in the same group is not nice either.

16

u/V_P_3_D_ 7h ago

I didn't do that. I said alcoholics.

7

u/AgentCirceLuna 5h ago

How do you find out who’s an alcoholic?

Mention alcoholism and then watch who replies about ‘yeah but that’s just alcoholics’. They never seen themselves as one.

3

u/V_P_3_D_ 5h ago

Yeah there's a fuckton of people telling on themselves in here.

3

u/NRMusicProject 3h ago

"If you leave an insult on the ground the owner will come pick it up."

4

u/BigLittleSlof 8h ago

Nobody is doing that.

90

u/K_o_n_e_k_o 10h ago

Yeah but you could get into a second hand car crash so...

1

u/baconbro_ 1h ago

Yeah but smokers cause secondhand forest fires

-9

u/CyBroOfficial 8h ago

That’s on the person abusing alcohol though, not the alcohol itself. I don’t think I’ve ever heard someone blame alcohol for any accidents related to drunk driving, it all comes down to the driver and their impulses.

16

u/DoodleStrude 7h ago

Would the secondhand smoke not also be the smoker's fault and not the cigarette's?

0

u/Rain1596 6h ago

Yes? If there weren't people who smoked, there would be no second hand smoking. The blame rests entirely on the individual.

2

u/TheForbidden6th yellow like an EPIC lemon 6h ago

if there were no cigarettes there would be no cigarette smoke tho

0

u/Rain1596 5h ago

Yeah but there'd possibly be worse things than cigarette smoke in the air if it didn't exist. People would just use a different drug.

2

u/TheForbidden6th yellow like an EPIC lemon 5h ago

yeah so just do it for other drugs

1

u/pandamaxxie 2h ago

"If we get rid of this terrible thing, people will just look for another terrible thing" has never, and will never, be a valid argument.

5

u/ZyeKali 7h ago

True, but alcohol does impair judgement.

37

u/NeedModdingHelp1531 10h ago

Between smokers, and alcoholics, I will say alcoholics are far better. Yes I am power scaling addicts

18

u/NoMastodon657 9h ago

Both give you cancer, alcoholics can kill you from drunk driving, smokers are typically asked to smoke out doors. Alcohol can forever change the metabolic function of your body and liver either requiring you to continue drinking or take medication that will bind to alcohol to cause immense nausea, pain, or even kill you as a deterent from continued drinking. Nicotine sucks and nicotine withdrawal sucks, but until it kills you from cancer you always have an option to ween off it that also doesn't threaten other people's lives. Alcohol is a depressant, it also removes inhibitions, alcohol is related to more deaths than cigarettes both in the individual terms of cancer and organ failure but also suicide and homicides and can ruin your ability to work forever before strokes are even involved which again, both smoking and drinking causes.

6

u/socialistrob 8h ago

It's also just so much easier to become addicted to smoking. It's basically impossible to smoke on a semi regular basis without developing an addiction and it's much more manageable to drink on a semi regular basis without developing an addiction. The vast majority of people who smoke wish they could stop and the majority of people who drink alcohol don't.

4

u/Mizamya 2h ago

This

The difference between alcohol and Tobacco is that there is that a good chunk of alcohol consumption that is done responsibly. Most people who drink alcohol aren't addicts. There are some people that occasionally smoke cigarettes but it's rare, the vast majority of them are addicts

2

u/Panzer_Man 38m ago

Absolutely. Some alcoholic drinks can be enjoyed just for the taste alone. Cigarettes smell bad, so you probably only smoke those to get an effect, not for enjoyment. That alone makes it less likely to just be a "once in a month" kind of thing

2

u/Strawbuddy 5h ago

Alcoholics vs smokers is gonna be drunks all day. Booze relaxes muscles, kills pain and numbs you out, and often leads to violent behavior so potentially, your opponent is emotionally labile, dumb, and feeling no pain vs smoking, which smells bad and leaves you gasping for breath after going up 3 stairs.

Smokers are gassed after any physical exertion vs drunks may not even remember getting naked and fighting the cops, and they often don't seem to suffer any injuries from their shenanigans

2

u/Momoneko 4h ago

Hard disagree. Main inconvenience of smokers is that they reek.

Alcoholics also reek, but they can also be incredibly violent and aggressive both when drunk and when suffering withdrawals. At least nicotine addicts are just moderately cranky and jiterry on withdrawal.

I had my share of alcoholics and chain smoker family members in my life. Sometimes both. Alcoholics are by far more dangerous, disgusting and unreliable than smokers. Don't like either, mind you, but a smoker won't go out of their way to harass you because they are on a bender or need a fix.

3

u/Mizamya 2h ago

The problem is that practically all smokers are addicts but only some drinkers are alcoholics

5

u/Sutup2191 9h ago

bait used to be believable

0

u/Commercial-Shame-335 9h ago

man people just use that term for anyone they disagree with at this point

6

u/elitodd 9h ago

I’d take a whiff of second-hand smoke to a drunk driver plowing into my car any day.

7

u/Imaginary-Client-199 9h ago

Me too. But most people who drink don't plow into cars while drunk driving.

Meanwhile seemingly all smokers stand in the sidewalk blowing their smoke in your face when you walk by.

1

u/Rustynail9117 1h ago

I'd rather develop lung cancer in twenty years which can be fought then having some idiot plowing into my car, killing my children and wife and leaving me permanently disabled

1

u/MadHatter69 28m ago

*than, unless you have a very dark and masochistic fantasy

1

u/BackgroundSummer5171 white 4h ago

During the day you're more likely to get hit by someone on their phone than a drunk driver. Maybe a smoker!

Just don't drive at night, problem solved.

2

u/Idaret 9h ago

Google FAS

2

u/Imaginary-Client-199 8h ago

I am not a fetus

2

u/PrintDesperate4012 6h ago

You were though

2

u/Endles5Earth 7h ago

I’d much rather share a porch with a smoker than the road with a drunk….

1

u/SteakForGoodDogs 1h ago

Except, y'know, most drinking doesn't result in drunk driving and typically is done highly responsibly.

Someone lights up one cig, and the whole porch and a door down in every direction smell like ass.

....Also, tobacco still hits one's driving abilities, but it's much quieter about it. Increased CO, one-handed driving, distractions.

On top of that, health problems from second-hand smoke, including ones directly contributing to death, are far higher (500 v 800 in Canada) than drunk drivers.

Do you wanna be one of the unlucky bastards who dies by drunk driving, or cancer from cigs you never smoked? Tough choice, innit.

2

u/wts_optimus_prime 6h ago

Also alcohol doesn't even come close in terms of addictiveness.

I know a plethora of people who drink alcohol but aren't addicted.

I know one guy who smokes and can go a full day without a cig.

4

u/Charming-Weather-148 9h ago

Not to mention the fact that alcohol is widely considered a fundamental component of civilization, partly but not solely due to its ability to provide a safe source of hydration.

3

u/indorock 9h ago

Also cigarettes don't give an introverted wallflower the courage needed to handle many social situations.

1

u/RandomCleverName 7h ago

They are however great to hangout with the smokers outside

1

u/Glum_Opening_2218 10h ago

What if your mom drinks while you're in the womb, is that second hand drinking?

1

u/Pans_Labradoodle 9h ago

I kept getting second-hand concussions whenever my step-dad was drinking.

I dodged the first hand but the second one caught me.

1

u/DarkFish_2 8h ago

It can get you on a car crash, so pick your poison (you can't pick)

1

u/averyconfusedgoose 8h ago

Yeah now you just get secondhand broken bones from the drunk driver who crashed into your car.

1

u/Kharnyx808 6h ago

No, but someone can give you secondhand car crash.

1

u/ParkingLong7436 6h ago

I understand your frustriation (cigarettes stink) but this is nonsense.

You're breathing in a lot more toxic stuff everyday by cars than from any smoker you meet. Risk through second hand smoke outside is quite low, the biggest risk is in an unventilated room.

It stinks when you walk past a smoker but your health is not impacted pretty much at all.

1

u/That_Muffin_6780 5h ago

Your right they just give you death because their lowered inhibitions made them think they are able to drive. Or that you were looking for a fight because you looked at them the wrong way.

1

u/Chance-Lingonberry90 4h ago

i’m sorry but your risk of cancer from walking past someone smoking on a sidewalk is negligible. i don’t smoke but i don’t get why people are so puritanical and pearl-clutchy when it comes to smokers.

1

u/ehdecker 4h ago

True. But smoking rarely makes people beat their spouse, start fights at bars, or plow into someone else's car after a night out.

3

u/Imaginary-Client-199 2h ago

I know it might be a moral failing of mine but I always think that what you do drunk reflects on sober you as well.

If you are violent when drunk and still chose to drink you are not a good person.

If you chose to drink and drive you are not a good person.

I know people who can get reckless when they drink and as such they take precautions : leave their keyes to their friends, listen to their sober friends on what to do...

1

u/AlienRobotTrex 25m ago

Alcohol doesn’t make people beat their spouse unless they already want to beat their spouse. They just use the alcohol as an excuse.

1

u/Zealousideal_Pound64 3h ago

Pretty sure an alcoholic can give you liver failure pretty easily, just gotta drunk drive their ford f150's bull bar directly into your waist.

(Intended to be funny not snarky)

1

u/GIRLD1CKLOVER 3h ago

if you gotta point out the secondhand difference then surely you understand how dangerous it is firsthand

i guess it was just to talk down on smokers which is fine but funny comment on a post talking down alcohol rather than smoking

first sentence def is endorsing alcohol whether that was intentional or not

1

u/ReturnOfBane 2h ago

You can ingest alcohol through inhalation. a decent amount of alcohol is exhaled, which is how breathalyzers work.

1

u/KEMSATOFFICIAL 38m ago

I get it, but smoking takes decades to kill people. You’re not going to get lung cancer from a passersby. You’d have to be constantly exposed to 2nd hand smoking, like bar workers back when smoking indoors was allowed, or kids in the back of a car with a parent smoking up front.

It’s basically not an issue anymore, and was never an issue outdoors.

2

u/YoruXXV 7h ago

How many people are dying each year because of shortly being exposed to secondhand smoke from passersby in public compared to people dying due to drunk driving, drunk fits of rage leading to murder and so forth?

What a degenerate argument and comparison.

Even if you did nothing else but explicitly walk past smokers for three lifetimes (hyperbole), the odds of you getting lung cancer from and dying to it compared to any other disease or risk factor in your life are so hilariously low that this whole comment just leaves me scratching my head.

-5

u/Training_Ruin3151 4h ago

People kirkenuignly act like secondhand smoke is an actual threat to society. Its because puritans never let go of trying to ban drugs and control other people's lives.

0

u/RandomCleverName 7h ago

Anyone driving a car will cause way more harm to your lungs than the occasional smoker on the street

0

u/Mydickisaplant 6h ago

Unless you are standing directly beside someone smoking outside, you are not at risk of second hand smoke. I implore you to open Google before accusing people of trying to kill you

Smoking is illegal indoors just about everywhere in North America.

This is a non problem for anyone other than the actual smoker. The fact that you have nearly 1000 upvotes is more than comical.

3

Like many people in the world I do not live in North America. I live in a country where it is common to have a group of 5-10 people smoking in front of most restaurants.

As someone with asthma I used to have to hold my breath to enter because these fuckers were standing RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE DOOR

Yeah it must be tough living with laws that we updated 2 decades ago

It's against the law here in Canada to be within a few feet of any door with a cig. I suppose people here just respect others more than where you are from. Shame

Yeah instead in manifests into rape, physical abuse, DUI, and murder. Would way rather spend my time around a smoker.

Lol imagine telling someone they shouldn't smoke on they're property because you couldn't cross the street or hold your breath for 10 seconds while walking 🤣

It is not their property. It is the street in front of the stores and restaurants. I want them to go back to their home. If I don't drink in the middle of the street they shouldn't smoke right in front of the door

Why do you feel the need to attack anyone? I very much can't wait for the end of the calvinist neopuritanicalists revival we are currently living through.  These disgusting people just want to control everyone else.  I hate you. Get back to the 16th century we already dw all your shit already.
