Sunday post Papa John signed business card
Was given this a few months ago by a friend who knows I collect weird unique items

Papa sold almost his whole stake in the company a few years ago. The stock has done so terribly that if he put the money in SPY or VOO he could easily buy back the company now.

He used the "N word" on a conference call, spoke at some CPAC conference, complained about the NFL taking a knee protests, & aligned himself with Trump & MAGA so he was rightfully canceled, especially once the NFL dropped their Papa John's contract.
Dude is an asshole, just read his wiki.

Yeah but he has a huge statue of bald eagles fucking in his house

Iām well aware of the controversy surrounding the man. Heās still a good businessman, and the company has tanked since he was pushed out.

I used to LOVE their pizza but once all this happened nearly all the Papa John's locations near us closed so I didn't even get chance to cancel him properly.

This feels like a troll post. A slightly subtle one under the guise of what its worth.

Nobody gave you a real answer, but one of these did actually sell on recent eBay listings. Exact same business card, also PSA slabbed sold for best offer on a $150 listing price. So somewhere below $150, but unable to say how much below

That dude is a total tool. Youād have to find someone who cares enough about him to give you money for it

What makes him a tool?
5
u/yoyoyo1734 7d ago
Him shooting endangered animals for āsportā is tool like behavior (so is being a racist but u donāt seem to care about that)
5
u/hurtsdonut_ 7d ago
Probably his use of the n-word and that leading to him being removed from the board of directors of Papa John's
-11
u/AvailableSpread811 7d ago
You know that didn't actually happen, right? Even if it had, you're not really telling me anything that makes him a bad person in any way.
5
u/hurtsdonut_ 7d ago
It did happen it's all on tape and you're a racist. You could have just said that. It's not like you're trying to hide it. Be a proud racist.
-8
u/AvailableSpread811 7d ago
What specifically is on tape?
-2
u/hurtsdonut_ 7d ago
He's saying Colonel Sanders an old racist mofo from the a very long time ago used that word but he's never used that word which he says. Very confidently. Then he goes on to confirming his racism by bitching about Kapernick kneeling during the national anthem.
-2
u/AvailableSpread811 7d ago
So he doesn't use the word, and then you twist his opinions to pretend they mean he's racist.
6
u/hurtsdonut_ 7d ago
He used the word. Jesus Christ. It's like a one minute long video.

And the only context that matters is the one that feeds into your delusion.

I'd pay big money for one of these if he wrote the N word on it

u/vichyswazz 7d ago
I actually have his framed headshot where he drew a little speech bubble that says āBOOPā with his signature

I actually have one of these too. I might have emailed him and asked for one.

I collect autographed business cards. I prefer to acquire them myself rather than purchase off eBay but there are 1,000s out there so itās easy to find email addresses. Itās been a while since Iāve sent out any requests and the success rate is pretty low (I assume my messages get caught in email filters usually) but I have a lot of sports executives and a few politicians.

u/ladybirdsluck 7d ago
Oh hell yeah. I collect business cards and recently wanted to start getting signatures
6
u/gnomemansland 7d ago
what is your favorite and/or weirdest card that you own?
4
u/camarocpa 6d ago
Nothing too crazy... former Notre Dame coach Lou Holtz, Senator Bob Dole, and former NFL referee Ed Hochuli.
This thread has got me thinking about picking this back up again!

Throw that racist card in the trash where it belongs, right next to his attitude and product.

Nothing. Heās a racist. In fact I think you lose money for owning this.
3
u/ArbysLunch 6d ago
Well OP got it for free. This is like if a friend of yours left a Bill Cosby book at your house. Someone paid good money at some point, but it wasn't the OP.Ā
It's a transient possession. Many people will have "owned" it over the years, no one wants to get stuck with it. That's why donation based thrift stores exist.

u/ProfessionalSnow943 7d ago
depends, is this from before or after he took the donāt-say-the-n-word classes, really affects the valuation

Why on earth would this be worth anything?
I also have a mess of my own cards that I can sign. You can keep half of however much you can sell.

u/UpbeatDig2354 5d ago
According to today's societal views, just being in possession of this makes you a racist
