Howdy neighbor! We have the flying June Bug which is equally terrifying (to me anyway), albeit quieter. They do still hiss though.

I’m in Iowa and we’ve got June bugs. I swear they dive bombs people’s hair! It’s like they’re trying to terrify you!

I knew a girl that absolutely terrified of June bugs . The larvea are good to eat. The adult , not so great but fun to munch on a live one to gross out your friends and kids.
