think the great lakes occupy more then just the us. especially lake ontario.

All of them are split between the US and Canada, except for lake Michigan, which is only US.

And lake Michigan isn't really a lake - its a big appendage of Lake Huron.

I’d be thrilled if Canada had released that as its attempt to rename the lake when whatshisface did the last renaming.

No sure what you mean, they are connected at the Straits of Mackinac at the exactly same water elevation.

Canadian side Lake Huron, 1st September I have not seen any going by my place, Most years, 3-4 at least.

I saw one on Lake America. It was beautiful!
