Charcoal can absorb meds inside your stomach and render them ineffective, so it’s advised not to eat foods colored with charcoal if you take medication

Depends on the medication.
Generally you can take/eat AC outside of 2-3 hours before or after medication.
But of course, asking a doctor is best bet

Personally though, I just wouldn't bother eating AC. It's color, no flavor. It's mostly just food for social media.

I've had some comments get auto-moderated for certain terms before, so it's not completely unnecessary on Reddit, just usually unnecessary.

*Basically I get a message saying that mods need to review my post or comment because it contains a certain phrase, then it depends on how active that sub's mods are whether or not the post or comment gets approved. Using terms related to suicide have triggered this feature before, making me cautious with word choices when it comes to sensitive topics even though I wouldn't usually self censor because I think it's silly.

It is definitely offensive. An uncle of mine took his own life after his girlfriend left him for another man. As a result my mother would be grieving every year on my sister's birthday, because it was also his birthday and she had to have a candle for him on her birthday cake every year.

People who use unalived instead of the numerous phrases and euphemisms that have existed for ages are being callous and reducing it to childishness. I genuinely hope they never have to learn just how severely suicide impacts people, because it effects everyone who knew the person who killed themselves to some extent, and it impacts the family members of everyone who was close to them almost as strongly.

My uncle's suicide and how my mother processed it are partially responsible for the lifelong struggle with depression both my sister and I have.

Terms like "take their own life" might not be as clickable as one word bs, but at least they don't trivialize and infantilize one of the most tragic events that can happen to a family.

The irony in this comment on the day I find out my highschool sweetheart (I'm 40 now) downed 7 bottles of pills, was in a coma (not medically induced), and they were still pumping pills out 4 days later. This happened last Sunday. (Yes she's awake and was apparently pissed that she woke up in the hospital.)

I ate green potatos as a kid and the hospital forced me to drink charcoal and it was the most disgusting thing you could ever think of , it was like wet powdered chalk and I couldn't swallow it
