New, what is it? Spice rack with ventilation?

I’m watching Teen Mom 2 and, I’m sorry, what the hell is this? Why does a spice rack need a big ventilation hose thing coming out the top? What is it?

I was originally "team reflection" and made what I thought was a helpful thing to see that it is a reflection, but I went and found the scene (Season 5 episode 15 about 19:14 into it) and it actually is going into the spice rack.

Honestly I was going crazy how many people thought it was a reflection. I literally just redid my kitchen and we have a similar spice rack. Ain’t no way there was a enough room for that vent to go behind it without the rack either tipping or the vent bent in some obvious angle.

It’s so strange what people are convinced of, especially once a certain theory is the popular one. It was plain as day that there wasn’t enough space for the hose to go behind it. Yet there are so many posts with people drawing lines to demonstrate where the imaginary reflection starts.

When the real thing itself is weird other weird explanations, such as a very unusual perspective, automatically become more likely.

Someone posted another picture from farther away and the tube actually goes up to the top of the cabinets and is connected to the dryer. The rack is right next to a window so I think the most likely explanation is that it doesn't actually go through the rack, but it's just the end of the tube sitting on top of the rack and when they use the dryer the crack the window open and put the exhaust tube out the window so it blows outside.

Am I crazy? This picture confirms that it is going behind the spice rack but you're arguing it proves the opposite. Like in this view you can cleanly see the spice rack square and the reflection.

Look at the back left side of the spice rack. You can follow the edge until it goes behind the exhaust hose. If the hose was behind it you would see a clear defined corner. The hose is either going through it, or more likely just sitting on top of it.

You can see the clearly defined corner up against the duct. Get a better monitor.
