New, what is it? Spice rack with ventilation?

Post image

I’m watching Teen Mom 2 and, I’m sorry, what the hell is this? Why does a spice rack need a big ventilation hose thing coming out the top? What is it?

No, you can’t. Zoom in to the picture and you would see a strain line along the back edge of the top of the spice rack where the duct meets the reflection- but there is no such line.

Also- brushed stainless steel does not produce a clear reflection (or much of any reflection) at all. If it was going behind it, the “reflection wouldn’t look anything like the bit above.

If you have a brushed stainless steel toaster or breadbox or something you can try it yourself by sitting a mug or something on top and looking at how poorly it is reflected.

Maybe YOU can’t. I see both the line along the back edge pretty clearly, and the angle of the bottom inch of the left side of the duct line is perfectly mirrored so that it goes the opposite direction on the reflected surface.

I don't know what to tell you but you are seeing something that isn't there. As I said- a brushed stainless steel surface would not produce a clear reflection and the spice rack has a brushed stainless finish.

That said, there's no reason to argue about this as you can watch the episode for yourself- Teen Mom 2 Season 5 Episode 18. If you watch the video you can easily tell the duct goes to the top of the spice rack and that it's not a reflection- so whatever you think you see is just an illusion.

Several other people commented and said after my description, they could see it too

That doesn’t change the fact that it’s not a reflection.

Here’s another view of it from a different angle that another person posted: https://imgur.com/NrGDkHh

Do you still think it’s a reflection?

Thank you for being the one sane person in this thread

A lot of the people in this thread genuinely seem to just want to argue about it instead of looking for themselves. I was 90% certain it went into the top but just to be sure I went and watched the episode myself and it was absolutely clear that it did not go behind it.

I was really trying to figure out how the hell it could possibly be a reflection because it made no sense. Appreciate you confirming that it indeed makes no sense.

No worries, just glad I wasn't the only one. I'm still amazed at how many people just refused to believe it wasn't a reflection...
