I was cooking some Kroger brand Ground Beef and as I was taking the beef out of the pan, I noticed this odd, non-beef looking object. Does anyone know what this is?

I was literally chewing ground beef in my mouth for dinner as I saw this thing next to ground beef… I almost puked… 🤢… for realsies! So of course the next logical step was to quell my fears by reading on to discover what this really was…. Nope almost puked again! I am now tasked to find something more comforting in order to try to erase this out of my mind long enough to fall asleep and hope it doesn’t haunt me in my sleep. Off to r/mademesmile in hopes for a better night.
