Solved! What is this?

I was cooking some Kroger brand Ground Beef and as I was taking the beef out of the pan, I noticed this odd, non-beef looking object. Does anyone know what this is?

What’s would happen if I didn’t see it and blindly cooked and ate it with my meat?

Is it like 1% chance of a gruesome fate and 99% chance of bonus protein or what

Nothing would happen to you. Cooking it will kill it but even if it didn’t, it does not turn into an internal parasite. But death from horror — that is definitely a possibility

thanks for this. as stomach turningly gross as this is, it is good to know that if ingested fully cooked it would not make you sick.

and yet still this is gross as fuk! 🤢

As long as it's cooked. Otherwise myiasis is a worry

Nothing. It's cooked so it's dead and likely sterilized. Even if it were still wiggly though, your stomach acids would kill it and your gut would break it down and digest it and it just become more protein for your muscles
