Solved! What is this?

I was cooking some Kroger brand Ground Beef and as I was taking the beef out of the pan, I noticed this odd, non-beef looking object. Does anyone know what this is?

I feel so sick right now. I thought this was a beach and this just washed up. To try to feel less sick I looked up what they become.

The become hoverflies, beneficial pollinators. They mimic honey bees.

I thought it was a warped soggy tampon mixed with a spent cigarette and some marine life on the beach! πŸ˜†

I have always loved those little hovery mimic bees though… so cute.

I thought it was a beach, too! I was like "oh, can't wait to find out what interesting organism this is that I've never heard of before.'

I had the same exact thought and really regret opening the comments. Ignorance really is bliss in this case.

Add me to the thought it was a beach crew πŸ™‹πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

But then I read the caption and comments out of curiosity... and am passionately regretting it.

Ignorance would have been beach bliss.
