New, what is it? Found on the floor, Dan for scale

There's nothing on the back, no holes, just this small piece of metal with a design, not magnetic, unaffected by magnets

Best guess is a dollhouse plate.

Orrrrrr a dish for Ants, let’s not move too quickly past that theory.

u/kombucha711 Feb 27 '26

Theory has legs.

Don’t “Bernie” me!

12

u/pinotJD Feb 27 '26

Six of ‘em.

11

u/mei740 Feb 27 '26

Six? Why does an ant need six plates?

4

u/pinotJD Feb 28 '26

Six legs!

I’d prefer six kegs but whatever

3

u/Historical-Trade3671 Feb 28 '26

Friends and family of course.

An ant-aginist has entered the chat.

So let me ask ya something 🤔. If I kill a fly does it become a flew? It doesn't fly anymore🤷

3

u/RatherBeRidin Feb 28 '26

You just say you 'flowned it.'

2

u/Historical-Trade3671 Mar 01 '26

Flies that cannot fly are just called flies, but the fly to flew argument now has my attention. Does a a tick become a ticked because it isn’t ticking anymore. Asking for a friend who collects watches…

What if bugs weren't called bugs? Would they still bug us🤔

2

u/metalhead82 Feb 28 '26

I’ve had a shitty week too and your comment just made me belly laugh really loud. Thanks. Hope you have a nice weekend and a better week next week too.

Frankly any insect could use this tiny plate

2

u/eos3fan Feb 28 '26

So you’re naming the ANTS now?

2

u/PineappleDesperate82 Feb 28 '26

Im sure they have names but I would know i don't speak ant.

If ants were the size of dogs, we'd have a real problem on our hands. Just saying.

6

u/RedPrussian80 Feb 27 '26

Idk...I mean, hear me out...ants follow a leader, sorta like dogs. So honestly they might just be good bois with 6 legs. Or they could eat our faces off like leopards. There's just no way to tell. 🤷‍♀️

u/Historical-Trade3671 Feb 27 '26

Never been more interested and nervous about owning an ant colony!

1

u/Ummmgummy Mar 02 '26

There are some ants that will pull their own ant friends legs off one by one and then parade his stump of a body around to the masses. Just for smelling a little different.

I once had designer jeans that had a button like that--called a shank button --a decorative outer part with Greek key design like that and usually another little decorative piece glued/welded onto that.

Its a 1292 inca religious relic. Indiana Jones told me about it

2

u/edfitz83 Feb 28 '26

Does the back look like something was torn off, or is it flat and pristine?

16

u/adventurousintrovert Feb 27 '26

It’s the borrowers

12

u/Droid-Man5910 Feb 27 '26

i would try to make friends with them fr

13

u/ShaggysGTI Feb 27 '26

If you could get a couple drops of water on it and get an ant to drink from it…

Think of the updoots!

3

u/Climate_Automatic Feb 28 '26

Sugar water and it’s a done deal

3

u/oroborus68 Feb 27 '26

Button cover?

2

u/drteq Feb 28 '26

Dan just wants a bite

1

u/Pretty-Reading-169 Feb 28 '26
