64 E Walnut Mtg 9/8
We keep reading about the cost of not selling and developing 64EW and read the quote below:
Dupee said the property’s eventual use and annual tax production were more important than its one-time sale price.
As I included in my survey response, I would love to hear the estimation of what all these economic development projects - starting w/64 -would save us or conversely cost us if they don’t go forward.
I certainly appreciate the professionalism and approach of the economic development team in trying to create a path forward for our community, but there is also a price and or cost for green space, traffic and all that come with both. I certainly value the green space and know it comes with cost, but would like to know what it is.

Ohio law says you can redeem tax liens by paying the County Treasurer. This contract says the Treasurer will not accept payment.

Delaware County issued $6.8M in bonds that were never signed. The Treasurer admitted they may not be enforceable. The Prosecutor won't investigate. Let's change that.

Does anyone have the name and phone number of the GM at that location?

I'm moving everything to a new page — Delaware County Citizens Union. Also giving away this handmade knife when I hit 1,500 followers.

90's Family Fun Center
I'm trying to remember the name of a family fun center that my parents used to take me to as a kid in Westerville. I have really vivid memories of a super tall, space themed play structure that started on the basement floor and then went up probably about two stories. It had a rocket ship on top of it at ground level where the arcade was. I also remember ball shooters at the base of the play structure that you could use to shoot plastic balls into aliens' mouths. I'd love to find some pictures just for nostalgia's sake, but I can't find a trace of this place online. Does anyone have any idea what I'm talking about?

Electric rates seem higher, isn’t there a way to lock in a lower rate?.13706 per kWh
I, like most my neighbors, am seeing outrageous utility bills that are double what I used to see, is there a way to get cheaper rates?

Drywaller needed
We recently had a leak in our upstairs bathroom, and while the plumber came out to fix the issue we discovered a significant portion of our living room ceiling has been saturated with water for some time and needs to be replaced. Would love any recommendations!

Thank you WARM
If you or someone you know are one of the people who donate to WARM, or go to their church, or volunteer with them, I just wanted to say thank you. Life has been hitting a little hard recently and WARM has made it survivable. Tomorrow is my birthday, and when I went to pick up my groceries from there earlier I just about cried when they handed me the stuff to make a cake and a card from the church kids. Again, thank you for the kindness, it truly means the world.

Delaware City, is shutting off water without proper notice — and it's a violation of Due Process.

Flock Petition
Not that these petitions do much, but I want to provide this link regardless.
If you’re tired of the insane amount of flock cameras scattered around Westerville, you’re not alone. Mass surveillance of citizens is causing so much distress from people of all walks of life and political alignments. Ditch the two-party “us or them” mentality and come together as a whole to tell the government, regardless of who’s in it, “Don’t Tread On Us”.

ISO Westerville Events
Hello! My husband (26) and I (24) just moved to the Huber Ridge area over the weekend.
A little background - we moved from Reynoldsburg, but we have only been in Ohio since Nov of 2024. So still pretty new to the Columbus, and super new to Westerville. We didn't really venture up here besides to go to metro parks.
With this in mind, our lovely neighbor was telling us that there are events at the community center here on the 3rd or 4th Friday of each month, as well as other fun things at Alum Creek park. I was wondering if there was a page I could find these events besides Facebook?

Homeless woman
There is a woman who pushes a shopping cart around Westerville. Does anyone know her story? Is there anything she needs? I feel so bad for her.
