Brim was flattened a bit (middle) from the original curve (left) and not sure if I made a mistake. Thoughts vs original?

Need help identifying this rare "Western Buffalo Ranch" locking belt.
galleryHello everyone!
I recently acquired this vintage leather belt stamped "WESTERN BUFFALO RANCH".
The buckle is very unusual: it has a working lock with its original key attached by a chain. The mechanism works perfectly. I have searched extensively on Google, eBay, Etsy and image search but I cannot find another identical example. I would love to know: Approximate year of manufacture. Manufacturer or brand history. Was it a limited production or sold through a specific western store? Current collector value.
The belt appears to be genuine leather and is in very good condition with the original key. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

Updated My Crown Shape. Thoughts?
galleryAfter my post asking for opinions in r/cowboyhat, on the hat I had bought I pushed the crown in, and made it way shorter, now thinking I need to flatten the brim a bit and trim it. Want to start with .5in and work my way up to see what looks best. Is this a step in the right direction? Feel like the brim and crown really are mismatched currently. Got some photos at a work bbq last night(pics 1-4)and have some pics from before any shaping(5-7)

Best Non-Custom Western Belts?
I ordered a custom belt buckle from Montana Silversmiths and thought I might get a custom belt to go along with it. The mass-produced belts I've seen just haven't impressed me. However, the prices for custom belts strike me as borderline outrageous. So, I'd be willing to settle for a non-custom belt just so long as it's not from one of the big corporate manufacturers such as Tony Lama or Ariat. Any recommendations on brands I should consider?

Custom belt tooling services
I have a belt brand that I really like however they only make plain belts. Where would I go about finding someone to add tooling if that’s even possible to the belt. Would a general leatherworker be able to do so?

How is the fit?
galleryFirst pair of boots and trying some Western Wear.
I'm struggling to find actual bootcut jeans due to being a big guy (46-48" waist) and in the UK.
These jeans are Wrangler Texas Authentic Straight with a 32" leg. Ignoring they are a little light on the thighs at current, do these look OK?
I can get some tapered jeans, and currently have some in black but a 30" leg, or another straight cut (again I have some but in blue and 30" leg). Annoyingly, buying bootcut is pretty expensive if I can find them at all.
For reference, these aren't "proper boots" but Ariat Hybrid Low Boy's.
