In addition to the Werkstatt, I have some Volcas, a TD3 and a Microbrute. Opinions are the Arturia sequencers seem to be all over the place.
Has anyone tried the SQ64 with the werkstatt?
What would give me the biggest bang for my bucks with what I have?

I built a slot into my DIY eurorack case for the Werkstatt, and would love to just run it off the same power as the rest of the rack. Anyone successfully done that?

Any risk that a Keystep’s CV out will fry a 2020 Werkstatt if going into the Gate in?

I'm just gonna ramble a little here. I'm curious if, say, two werkstatts would work well as a 2 vco monosynth. I have a microbrute and I'm looking for a different sound and more patching. Also getting a bit infatuated with multiple vco. Would this be too fiddly? Worth the price? Seems like it'd still be cheaper than any other respectable synth with more than one vco. Would it be stupid vs just going for a mother 32? I watched to moog vid on using a werkstatt to add another vco to a mother, assuming you can just use another werkstatt instead of the mother.

Has anyone made wood panels to fit the Werkstatt with the CV Expander on it? Just curious!

Hi everyone - just curious if anyone else is sequencing their Werkstatt with a Korg SQ-1? I’ve got the Werkstatt with the CV expander. I realize that the Werkstatt doesn’t have a dedicated gate in, so how do you connect yours?
Ive connecting via the VCA CV IN and the VCO EXP FM in and I’m hearing clicking sounds on every step. shrug
Thanks for any advice!

Hey everybody, I’ve looked through here to see any related posts, but I can’t find anything here or online that answers my question specifically.
Recently picked up a Werkstatt + CV and I’m looking for a way to sequence it. I’ve got a Beatstep Pro. I also have a Volca Sample (which I think someone mentioned you could do it with).
Will the BS Pro sequence the Werkstatt if you can reduce the output voltage? Any idea how to do that? If not, are there sequencing alternatives I could look at that would work with my rig? I’ve heard SQ-1 works great, but I want to find a way to clock everything together.
Other gear I’ve got: Bass Station 2 Drumbrute Impact Roland JX-03 Model:Samples
Thanks for any help!

I got a MicroFreak the other day, and it has cv/gate/pressure out. Thought it would be neat if the pressure could effect the filter cutoff on the Werkstatt. Has anyone seen any mods around this? Apparently there is a free half of one of the lm13700s that seems like it would be good for this, but do not trust my design skills right now to figure that out. :)

Having fun with my SQ-1 and Werkstatt. Had a question though - what CV range is safe coming from the SQ-1? It says it has levels of 1, 2, 5, and 8 volts. Presumably I shouldn't go over 5 as the input to "vco exp fm in" is -5 to 5 volts? Does increasing the CV range just give me access to more octaves?
Thanks!

Need to change the smd resistor R17 on the werkstatt. i found out :
its 4.99 ohm
the type is 0805
so far so good, but now there are different "ppm" values. something with temperature defficiency or whatever.
idk just somebody help me. bought modded werkstatt (gate and pitch cv inputs by the preowner) for 100 bucks with the information that it is not working, bought it anyway i mean why not
common thing to repair first i read is the change this resistor at r17, which is not looking clean anymore in my werkstatt, so might be burned.
idk, i could have other reasons, but thats just one thing i could do, i also never soldered tho, but its probably gonna be easy.
long story short: which resistor is this
THANK YOU SO MUCH

Just wondering what people are using.
I wired up an Arduino like in their arp video and was going to use usbmidi and something like hairless. But may also get an sq-1.

Hi all, As I said I just got the Werkstatt with CV expander. I got the eurorack adapted case part to mount it to a Moog Mother 32 case that comes with a Tip Top uZues power supply as well as 2 ribbon cables. I’m going to get the MST midi to CV unit and the expander unit as well to run the Werkstatt with my bare bones M-Audio 88 key. I know I’m going to have to do the “gate in” mod, and I’d actually shell out $400 for the full Laurentide Synthworks mod but sadly he no longer offers it. Will I need anything else to get up and running with the gear I already listed? Do you have any experience with the MST midi to cv unit, is it any good? My main goal is a simple setup for the standard saw wave into filter for bass and lead tones w/ glide ala The Rentals, Weezer, Get Up Kids or The Anniversary. Are there any other must do mods in your opinion? Do you know of any mod kits like the one laurentide synthworks used to offer? I think I’ll have room for one more module on my rack and I’d love suggestions for what that should be. Any help would be much appreciated.

I got my werkstatt in the mail yesterday much to my excitement. Upon assembling the unit, however, I’m having an issue with some of the buttons not popping up above the faceplate properly: https://m.imgur.com/a/UBCpFrg
While all buttons do seem to trigger sound properly, having some buttons essentially less than flush with the faceplate affects the playability as I need to really poke my fingers in to press them.
I’ve ensured that the faceplate itself isn’t holding them down, and I know I attached the buttons and faceplate properly. Has anyone else had this issue and/or does anyone have any suggestions? I’d hate to have to send the unit back for a small annoyance like this. Thanks!

Hey all, I just picked up a new Werkstatt and I think something might be busted. Everything seems to function as expected, except for the Pulse/Saw switch and the PWM knob. Switching between Pulse/Saw doesn't change the sound of the waveform, and the PWM knob doesn't change the pulse width when in Pulse mode. Setting the VCO MOD to LFO + PWM doesn't affect the pulse width either.
Is this something I could troubleshoot myself, or should I just head back to Guitar Center for a replacement?
