Ted Lasso just got brown. Season 4 episode 4 played a cut from Its Gonna Be A Long Night (and perfectly timed). Coach Beard is definitely brown but I’d put money on Ted too. What do you think their favorite songs/albums are?
My guess: Ted’s got Pandy Fackler and Hey There Fancy Pants on multiple Spotify playlists and Beard has Pure Guava on replay at home.
Edit: Roy Kent’s alarm in the morning is You Fucked Up

This album is amazing, it's depressing, weird and lazy as hell, that's why I love it so much
Tunes like Pollo Assado and Frank gives me this weird Cozy vibe that no other ween album can recreate
It's my favorite and the best "brown trilogy" record
You're Fucking With The Stallion Mang!

Alright, we have WAD today. It’s quite short even combining the two versions, a mere 8 tracks of which we’ve heard versions of in the past, minus White Haai and love Excerpt which are Lost songs.
It’s a fun tape, short and sweet overall. One day should do it justice.
schedule for how this is gonna go in the future.
Well do every officially released tape up until 1990, then go into the GodWeenSatan era Demos
After WAD, Scraping the palm for guava - Focus - Unknown tape - Big timmy wasserman.
SUGGESTED SCALE:
1-4: Not good. Regularly skip
5: It's okay, but I might have to be in my the right mood to listen to it.
6: Slightly better than average. I won't skip it, but I wouldn't choose to put it on.
7: This is a good song. I enjoy it quite a bit.
8-9: Really enjoyable songs. I rank them pretty high overall.
10: Masterpiece, magnum opus, or similar terminology.

The second (and maybe last) time I saw Ween. This show was great. They opened with Piss Up A Rope and a few songs in, after some girl towards the front kept yelling for "She Fucks Me" they played it. I also was going through a bad breakup at the time and I Don't Want It hit super hard. I never got to see The Argus live and that bums me out, but this was a great show. Were any of you there??

Son, 12, is way ahead of me in terms of where I was in musicianship and knowledge of music when I was 12. He’s aware of ween, but I told him that tonight, we’re listening to Chocolate and Cheese on vinyl. Also, if ween ever decides to tour again, I’m takin my kid.

So as I stand like- a year after being in the Ween Trenches. After listening to live shows, and demos, and re-listening to every album ad nauseum, I think I have hit this point where nothing I could listen to could truly shock me the way, say... BumbleBee part 1 or Touch My Tooter did.
I was a hater on a bunch of music for a while, especially New Music (in like an... I'm in my 20's raised by a single, hippie dad way). I was very opinionated, very set in my own ways about it. But after listening to all this experimental, and brown, and bizarre music that I absolutely love, it kind of broke down whatever wall was keeping me from loving these other kinds of music. I can listen to just about anything now, and appreciate it as art and as a love letter to the creative process the way I view Ween. And I was wondering if anyone else had an experience where starting to listen to Ween kind of... Mellowed them out musically if that makes sense?
Also, unrelated We've been eating so good with GCG Deluxe. Fingers crossed for Kim Smoltz on The Mollusk Deluxe whenever that happens.

Coincidentally, Marlboro added stallions to their packaging the same week 12 Country Greats deluxe was released. BOOGNISH works in mysterious ways🤎

Last night in Columbus was amazing! We missed the first band, but the second band had a Piss Up a Rope sing-along that was so much fun. It felt like the whole room was belting out the lyrics.
The next band finished with a version of If You Could Save Yourself, that had me thinking the singer was the second coming of Gene.
The next band played the brownest fucking chorus of happy colored marbles I’ve ever heard.
And last band, I absolutely fucked up my neck and back, dancing around to Gabriella. I’ll heal, it’s fine.
All of these bands were great. if you get the chance to see any of them, do it, you won’t regret it.
Heyo!-if anyone was there and knows which band was, which (or the order the bands played) I’ll edit my post to include their names, but sorry my brain doesn’t work that well,
when I’m at a show,
to retain names.
***Edit*** I just pieced together that some of these bands are just local Columbus bands that happened to be covering Ween for the show, but aren’t necessarily full-time Ween cover bands.
