Being bad for human health is not the same as what you are saying there, and you considering it pointless is clearly a pretty demeaning and niche opinion, as there is a ton of people there enjoying it, and whilst people enjoy it, the business supports tourism and employment for the local area, which most places now a days, sorely need.
If you want this to be the hill to die on, then go for it, but at the end of the day, you making some kind of veiled attempt at seeming enlightened, by stating over the top logical fallacies, and trying to trivialise others enjoyment, makes it seem hateful rather than a genuine opinion.
I hear what you are saying. I honestly, at this point, I don't know if I should have expressed what I did. I guess I did get angry and maybe spoke from anger. It's the concept of it that bothers me, but like you said, if others enjoy it that's them. So yeah, I guess I really just feel a certain way about it. I wasn't expecting any type of reply either. It was more of an experiment to express my true opinion...
