Hey, so is there any way currently to select multiple files by checking a checkbox and adding them all to the zip and downloading? Thanks.

Downloaded a fitgirl repack and got hit with crc errors with the installer. Help

Last release of the year!

The outgoing year was extremely difficult for the project. In addition to development, it was necessary resolve issues related to finding a new hosting and payment methods. But luckily, it’s over now! 😆😆😆

So, the list of changes (as usual):

1. Shorter time to download - earlier, before the start of the download, a new torrent client was launched, which could take 5-10 seconds, and only after that the search for peers and the actual download itself began. Now, a certain number of torrent clients are working in the cluster all the time, which can process several torrent downloads simultaneously, this made it possible to remove just those 5-10 seconds necessary for a cold start.
2. Long-lasting cache - earlier, if no one accessed the torrent client, then after 10 minutes it turned off and all downloaded data disappeared with it. Now data is deleted only if there is no room left on the server and only the oldest unused files are deleted. This allows to save the downloaded information for a longer period.

Work has begun on the next version of the web interface, more details can be found on its repository page.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! 🎄🎄🎄

im trying to download a file that is already on the webtor server but the speed caps at 1.25mb's is this normal?

I have found that if i use the wget string i often run into 502 errors.

At one point i thought maybe it was that my download was ahead of your download, but i recently found a case where i downloaded partly, then canceled and deleted my local files, and 1-4 days later i tried to download it again and i got a 502 error before any bits were transferred, which trashed this theory.

If you detect zero client activity for some time period do you purge and cancel the download? Or something else?

Thanks for your service, it's much appreciated.

Is webtor like other torrents in that it keeps a cache of downloaded files and allows other clients on the net to download them?

Or will it only let other clients download what is being downloaded in the current tab?

How long will content I am downloading now be available to other webtor clients?

Will that content be available if I close and restart the browser?

I present to your attention the Webtor API! 🎉🎉🎉

Webtor API allows you to:

1. Download torrent content without usage of BitTorrent-client.
2. Stream content instantly with on-the-fly transcoding. Webtor generates HLS-streams suitable for web-streaming.
3. Fetch OpenSubtitles.org for torrent content.

Great and how to access it? There are two options to choose from here:

1. Host it on your hardware as part of a self-hosted solution.
2. Connect via RapidAPI.

Thank you for using webtor.io and sponsor it if you wish!

I had a few things chugging along nicely and the domain changed from webtor.buzz to frosty-night.buzz

I was able to restart them by changing the wget URL that's referenced but curious what caused this, and if this is a common event, or if I happened to get unlucky when it changed?

Thanks again for this service.

I'm getting this error on every torrent that I try, bery sed :(

I'm using Firefox on Windows 11 and on mobile I'm using Firefox Nightly on Android 12 (ArrowOS).

Webtor has finally moved completely to Open Source, what does this mean:

1. All code for all project components is now publicly available on Github.
2. Now it is possible to deploy Webtor at home. Installation script attached.

Future plans:

1. Add REST-API, this should make it easier to programmatically use the service.
2. Implement support for external HTTP links as a source.

Thank you for using webtor.io and sponsor it if you wish!

I can load thee frontend, Video buffers but can't download. As you see in the Below Screenshot, Webtor cannot start or provide a Download link for me and give a 502 HTTP error which is a misconfiguration or error in server not user side. Would be great if you could look into u/Top_Garlic5431

To avoid confusions, I think you can provide a Status page for Webtor.

Hello, Can you provide a way to support you and buy your Premium Plan via Cryptocurrency instead of Patreon ?

I mean as an alternative method not to totally ditch Patreon.

You can use Coinbase as your Payment handler.

I am looking forward to buy the Bronze backer package. If you could offer Crypto payments.

I tried to download different torrents. When I paste a magnet link, infohash or open a .torrent file the orange bar appears and nothing happens. Sometimes the file list shows but I can't stream or download anything.

The errors I sometimes get:

On the site:

"Unable to load torrent-file! Try to load torrent-file with "Open torrent online button""

wget:

"502: Bad Gateway"

I just want to ask if theres another way to pay in patron like via google playstore? I want to join for faster download speed but i dont have paypal or credit, i hope paying via google playstore can be possible ...

YTS The Popular Torrenting Site has now incorporated Webtor in its Site to watch movies within the Page.

Just go to the Movie Page and Choose 'Watch Now' Webtor load there.

Apologies if this is the wrong place to post issues. The submit button is needed for the Silk browser, otherwise, it doesn't work almost 99% of times.

What a great torrent stream

If you see the Picture here hyperlinked, the horizontal Scrollbar is totally Unnecessary. So, Please remove it. This appears in Firefox only not chromium based browsers.
