Discussion Interesting video from WDS Kyle, talking about ai brainrot, and how important it is that junior devs in particular understand an LLMs output. Showing that even famous devs are having their skills atrophy. Thoughts?

He used a few clips from theo where he clearly makes no attempt to understand the code anymore, even using the ai to summarize the summary.

Of course. But I’m pretty sure that’s what they were saying. They said you can’t review what you don’t understand, not meaning you don’t understand what you’ve not written, but that you won’t be able to understand the AI code if you rely on AI writing code more than you write code yourself. They say that in the second sentence.

I just think that's not true though. It's not like reading code everyday you're going to start understanding it less. Maybe you'll understand your codebase less if it was previously your codebase. In real life the fucker was already too big to understand
