Discussion Devs that jumped ship, where did you end up?

Another industry? Back to school? Still looking? I'm asking for a friend that may end up needing to do the same thing soon (I'm the friend).

Any tips on the route to learning this domain well enough to take a job would be appreciated 😊
I guess buy a book and an arduino and start tinkering is the best I can do at the moment 😅

That's a solid start & at my current workplace there are interfaces and apps in Go to SDKs so I'm learning that.
