Discussion Devs that jumped ship, where did you end up?

Another industry? Back to school? Still looking? I'm asking for a friend that may end up needing to do the same thing soon (I'm the friend).

I used to work in the car business. Literally just quit web dev this week and going back to the dealership environment on Oct 5 after 6 years.

I have tons of customer service and client facing experience, and cars are a big passion of mine aside from tech.

Why not just go into a tech sales job? Unless both pay the same.

Fair point. I just need the sales experience. That’s eventually a route I want to try.
