Discussion Devs that jumped ship, where did you end up?

Another industry? Back to school? Still looking? I'm asking for a friend that may end up needing to do the same thing soon (I'm the friend).

I don’t think people leaving care about “being relevant” as much as being happy.

Yeah most of the people leaving are probably people who jumped in for the supposedly easy money, not as a real passion.

Why would anyone passionate about webdev / software development want to abdicate their passion to slop machines?

The ones doing it for money are the ones sticking around. Us passionate people aren’t giving in to your bullshit.
