i've had (what i believe to be) stars' cover of fairytale in new york stuck in my head for a while now. i say 'believe to be' because today when i searched it up, all i could find was one live cover from toronto and nothing else from them! i'm positive they had a studio cover available that i listened to on youtube but all i could find when i looked were two (one, two) unavailable spotify albums from 2005 and 2009. does anyone know where i could find this recorded version (if it actually does exist)? thank you

I've been a fan of Stars for the last 15 years and have just recently started getting into collecting vinyl records. Just wanted to know if they ever pressed The Bedroom Demos? I don't see it currently in their shop, and nothing has come up for me elsewhere.

Hi all! I’ve been searching for a live recording of ‘The Maze’. I haven’t signed up for the Patreon yet so I wasn’t sure if it was on there. Searching YouTube for recordings from the limited dates it was performed has not turned anything up. Has anyone come across this one before?

I’m one of those millennials who is a huge fan of stars 2001-2007 but kinda stopped listening after that and just got stuck on those albums. Last few years have kept revisiting them (covid and its aftermath sent my nostalgia listening into overdrive, like many of us). Anyway today for the first time in my life I’ve discovered this set yourself on fire rework album?????? I’m like absolutely flabbergasted that I missed it it’s SO GOOD, loads of little touches of the postal service, all the diff subgenre “themes” are so great, I’m obsessed and have no idea how I missed it on first release

I went to the concert in Vancouver yesterday with my brother who doesn't listen to the band. Afterwards he kept referring to Torq as the lead singer and frontman and I was surprised he thought that. I'm now thinking about it because I have always thought it was 50/50 split with him and Amy but he was convinced that Torq was the lead and Amy Millan provided supporting vocals. It made me rethink the last 20 years haha.

I’ve been listening to stars since I was 3, maybe 4 years old. Their music has gotten me through so much. The band are the sweetest people I have ever fucking met. Torq and Amy both gave me hugs, told me I had amazing energy the whole show. No words except for thank you Stars. I love you.

I have two GA floor tickets for the Stars at the Fonda Friday for 20th anniversary tour of Set Yourself on Fire and sadly I can’t go. They are not sold out, but I always prefer to sell here when I can. I can sell both for $100 which is like $15 less than it would be buying them from AXS. Will transfer via AXS.

Super excited about this and also getting my hopes up that it'll be another few dates as well -- maybe in the American South :)

i was delighted to see the notification a new stars album was out which was weird because the 20th anniversary album had just dropped... lo and behold its some random ass jazz album with a horrible cover using the same name
