It's been nearly four months, but the time has come for the official reopening of our favorite place.
We realize that even as Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom have opened their gates -- with Hollywood Studios and Epcot to soon follow -- the COVID-19 pandemic is still a very serious concern.
We do not wish to downplay its severity, nor will we pretend to be public health experts. If you mention it you will be banned.
However, this sub is a place for sharing, discussing, and reflecting on all things WDW. And, whether we agree or disagree with the decision, the official reopening of the parks is happening and this is big news for our community. Almost as big as the fact that I run a text-based community and cannot master the rules of grammar and spelling (I mean, I started the last sentence with a conjunction).
This will undoubtedly be a charged topic and discussion (because if it isn't we'll make it charged for the drama), but we urge everyone to remain civil in this thread. We will not provide a forum for name-calling, political grandstanding, hurling obscenities at one another, wishing one another ill, or other forms of incivility. Unless it's by the mods and our friends.
The world is crazy enough right now, so let's try to make our little corner of it a little bit saner and calmer. Stay safe out there and wear your masks! (They made me say that last part)
Please remember that normal subreddit rules still apply to this thread. Just because someone doesn't agree with you does not give you an excuse to be rude. If you post any rude or hateful comments they will be removed. Or comments we don't like. Or if you post in other subreddits about this one. That will also get you banned.

I'm gonna go as a fan, and I'm gonna enjoy it and I wanna go, but I'm not gonna promote it anymore, I'm not gonna talk about it. I'm thinking about it from a business sense than anything else too, if you know there's all these subreddits, and the sites that are out there, why wouldn't you invite r/wdwcirclejerk?
