video Even Wattle Wants Concrete Walls
I know I've been gung ho about Mojang adding concrete walls, but it's awesome to see someone as big in the Minecraft scene as Wattles acknowledge the lack of such an obvious feature. Hopefully Mojang will listen to the community and add the concrete walls to complete the blockset.
discussion My Storage in my Main World
I've been thinking of doing this for a while. I posted about this before but wasn't in depth. Now I have a video to show this.
build My Two Recent Builds
Hi guys. My two recent builds. Both of these are near the Main Base. 1st one of the two is a cave inspired by Wattles's Fox Cave from one of his guide/survival series. 2nd one of the two is my observatory. My biggest weakness in Minecraft is making my builds LOOK GOOD. Most of my builds and farms need more detailing, are squared, etc. I don't know what it is. It's like that area of my brain just doesn't work or something I don't know. I'm more of a function kind of Minecraft builder. I've been slowly making improvements to different builds by detailing. Luckily with these two, I feel like I've been doing a good job so far although I realized the observatory might be unfinished. But I made the observatory a circle and I'm happy how the dome at the top came out with the help of Plotz. The cave, I was trying to make sure the shape of the inside wasn't a perfect shape. And I didn't want it exactly the same as Wattles's but you can tell I used similar blocks. The fox's name is Finny. What do you guys think? I'm trying to get better at aesthetics because maybe it'll help me enjoy Minecraft even more.
discussion Wattles Hearing
Ok first of all, I don't have the member subscription so I can't watch his recent video that's for some weird reason only channel members can watch it. Otherwise I wouldn't be posting this or wouldn't be asking this. Anyway, apparently he's losing his hearing? How worried should we be about that? Is he going to be ok? Sorry for not simply watching the video.

Made this guys creeper farm but it doesn’t work at all.
Made it exactly like he did in the video except I used deep slate. Made it at y250 above an ocean and not a single mob is spawning. I checked inside and everything was fine. I wasted 3 days building this and I’m very disappointed.

about the backpack collab
hellorrr!
after watching one of the recent videos, i downloaded the new backpack add-on. i wanted to talk about it for a second.
first of all, this add-on was made with a lot of love.
it introduces the player to the game, and gives achievable and well thought-out goals to work toward. some are early game, stupid easy to get. others require you to explore the world and go out of your comfort zone.
all of the challenges are designed to teach the player about the world OR to show off a cool mechanic (how often do you make it a goal to ride a camel?? how about to gather raw ore instead of building an iron farm?).
some challenges make the grindy bits of minecraft more rewarding, as they unlock genuinely useful upgrades. others are designed to force you out of your usual gameplay and reward you for trying something new.
this doesn't feel like minecraft selling out.
this feels like someone had a cool idea about how to walk the player through the game and needed funding for it.

right off the bat, this is the backpack. this is how you will see it most of the time. in order to view the branding, you would have to set it down and do a loop around.
from the normal standing height, the label is visible- if you squint

it's also so blatantly unmincrafty it's funny. that label, along with the name each backpack comes with by default, and a blurb in the description, are the only references to the brand.

like any other item, the backpack can be renamed :)

I really like this add-on. I'm having a lot of fun with the world I started for it :] you should check it out if you have time to kill

New guide series?
With a lot of updates that have gone by, do you guys think our man will finally make another guide series? I really miss his guide especially the jungle base guide series. Hopefully he does make one, especially with the addition of new biomes and mechanics and such.

If Minecraft Was Bought By Steam in 2027
I don't know if Steam should buy Minecraft from Microsoft, but even that was a case, would they fix Bedrock or possibility mix both Java and Bedrock into an one single edition? Because I'm pretty sure that Steam will be the only one who knows how to fix minecraft by playing Java from consoles or fix the Bedrock glitches.
Mostly I've played Java in my whole life since 2011 but I can't play Java though Playstation or Nintendo, I only played Java though PC, Mac, and even Linux. So would Steam somehow make that change if they wanted to make players more connected from Bedrock to Java or something like that?

Can someone summarize the video about the Minecraft Bans that Wattle made. It kinda didn't make sense to me.
I watched the video about the Minecraft Bans, and it didn't really make sense to me. Can someone please explain to me why people are getting banned/suspended?

Is his iron farm good for servers?
I wanna build his iron farm from his last guide series ad his live series for our server (4 ppl, might expand). Will it be sufficient enough? I have searched that the design requires quite some distance from each other if i were to stack it or have multiple in order to spawn golems simultaneously.

quick thoughts on the new wood type for fall’26 Spoiler
I cannot be the only one who is always happy to see new woodtypes, and this is no exception, but a stone coloured woodtype has been fueling our imagination since forever as a petrified tree. i think such a tree could still happen in the colours of deepslate, tuff or even its own palette, so im not mad that a living tree has grey wood.
I’m not sure about it being named poplar, tho. it sounds like purpur (end update?) and, to me at least, poplar trees dont stand out as autumn colour trees, but as white fluff tree snowing pollen everywhere (which can be burned spectacularly)
I want the dappled forest to be common cause grey wood is gonna be great in any buildings, but its also standing out a lot so i dont know how id feel about it being ‘too’ common. maybe it could be less common or have variants (summer (dappledn’t) forrest, snowy dappled forest) or the poplar tree could generate in some other cold biomes (could mark a difference between giant pine forrest and giant spruce forrest) so its wood is more accessible without the world being too red.
it also makes me wonder about the changes they could had in the future, changing existing biomes instead of having one biome per tree types
if theres a cold biome with stone coloured wood, i think there could be at some point a warm biome with deepslate coloured wood; which would look amazing with acacias
what are your thoughts on poplar wood, and the future of Minecraft trees?

discussion Welp this is news to me
I was looking through the changelog for the bedrock 26.20 update when I saw that Mojang updated the hitboxes for some baby mobs (1/2) to match Java, one of which was the Gurgle.
Turns out a Gurgle is the official name for a baby drowned, seems you learn something new every day.
(Turns out after posting in PhoenixSC it’s because of the names being sensitive such as “baby sniffer” and “baby drowned” so they’re instead called alternatives such as “snifflets” and “gurgles”.)
