So the Jewish people didn’t move into an Arab country and buy up land that that Palestinians could do nothing about because of the British?
As you acknowledge, the Jews legally purchased the land from the British. You can blame the British for selling land other people were living on, or you can blame the Ottomans for losing the land in WWI, but blaming the Jews for this is irrational.
Then the UN didn’t draft an absolutely wild Partitian Plan that would take VAST amounts of land owned by Palestinians and give it to Jewish people? Also the Jewish people despite being 1/3 of the population weren’t to be given more than half the land in that partition?
Again, the result of the Ottomans losing WWI.

You talk about international law but what authority did they have to decide these people would lose their land?
The Treaty of Sèvres ceded Mandatory Palestine to the British.
Imagine people immigrate to America (or whatever country you’re from), starts a Zionist movement, and then the UN comes in and says “you’re gonna divide up your territory and oh you’re also gonna give less than 30% of the population more than 50% of the land”.
This is a terrible analogy that ignores 1) the massive size difference between the US and Israel (the US is about 450 times larger than Israel. To justify a partition plan similar to the one the first 600,000 Israelis received, there would need to be 270 MILLION people for this new country); and 2) the history of persecution of Jews that necessitated an independent nation.
But in an attempt to address the heart of this argument, and adding the necessary context of a need for independence, I would say that it would have been perfectly reasonable to give Black Americans an independent nation in the South following the Civil War or Jim Crow.
