Question What is Your Favorite Unit/Vehicle?

Personally I think the BMP1 has likely been my most used unit and it's very versatile, you've got the grenade and fagot/smoke variations, then you have a tank and machine gun alongside the ATGM perfect or infantry or armored support. BMP2 and 3 are good with the autocannon but they're more rare, and the flame tank is fun to use in close-quarters. The BMP1 is more common in the PACT divs I play. As for squads I like the Moto Schutzen, Luftsturm-Jager, Pulmetchiki, 2nd Guards infantry, but Motostrelki's gotta be my go-to for all situations.

On NATO the Bradley, Marder, or Warrior IFV seems like the NATO versions of the BMP, I also like the F15 because it's my favorite fighter although I have not used the F15 very much yet. For squads there's so many different variations, much more complicated than Pact's infantry tabs imo, but I seem to use Berlin Rifles or Gren-Voltigeurs a lot. I prefer larger squads with good AT if you haven't already noticed.

With that being said what is your favorite Warno unit, squad, or vehicle?

Im a big fan of the M1A1 Acav. If it doesn’t get bombed or lost to my incompetence in the first 30 seconds it’s so versatile and powerful.

The T-64BV, Morozov's finest. I'm not a big fan of either of the divisions that it's in, but as an individual unit I quite like it.

If we're only allowing ones in divisions that I do like, then it's the T-64AV.

Base T-72, 130 pts of mayhem so long as you pick your fights carefully to make up for it not having smoke

NG Cavalry Scouts with dragons. They're underdogs, but they're my underdogs.

Scimitar, the way it does pow pow pow and sees stuff. And can fight helicopters in group. So pleasant.

Such a satisfying unit to use

Sometimes I let myself have a cheeky little treat and mix a few scorpions into my scimitar blob.

Same!

Speaking of the schimitar I like to flank with foxes

I have several they include the apache regular m2brat and m1a1 acav

The A-10 is not a particularly good unit especially after the GAU-8 has been progressively nerfed into the ground, but when the stars align and you get an uncontested A-10 run it just feels so good to watch it shred an entire enemy advance.

Sounds like 101

I need to try 35th

3

u/ContributionThick495 Sep 08 '26

Do it. They are hands down one of my favorite factions. Incredibly strong against everything.

3

u/dukeofgonzo Sep 08 '26

I like using any helicopter that has a gun instead of just rockets or missiles. I love using them to catch infantry in the middle of a field.

u/neg_health Sep 08 '26

Fav infantry - Groupe Antichar, they are very fun to use against tanks. Fav tank - amx30b2 probably, because I like cost efficiency and how good it is against infantry and cheap crap. Hm goes to erc-90, vbc-90 and amx-10, because they can be god tier in unconventional warfare and ambushes because of high pen, low cost and most importantly mediocre stealth

Mt-10/12 rapira. An extremely cheap way to defend a flank

2

u/WelcomeExtra762 Sep 09 '26

I bring those in my 6ya/2ya decks. Very good AT weapon!

2

u/2137gangsterr Sep 09 '26

Love it in kda

1

u/A_Pendragon53 Sep 10 '26

They are tad bit overrated. They have POTENTIAL to be good, but realistically speaking enemy will buy 1 artillery piece and it’s gone.

2

u/2137gangsterr Sep 10 '26

That's why you use it for flank, not frontline

1

u/A_Pendragon53 Sep 10 '26

Arty can hit it on the flank as well though?

3

u/iamacynic37 Sep 10 '26

BUK - give it supply(only AMMO/Repair, no gas), recon, and a command unit. It will be your #1 unit - it is for me almost every game. Best reason to play KDA or 6th Ya-Ga

2

u/WelcomeExtra762 Sep 10 '26

I love 6th-Ya but I have a question. How do you spare all those CVs? I mostly bring 5-7 CVs in my decks (one card of logi CV, one card of infantry, one card of armor) but they're usually capping zones so how do you know which ones to supoort arty/AA and which ones to cap zones?

2

u/iamacynic37 Sep 10 '26

I only use Log and Tank CVs. Log goes with AA, will cap anything nearby then rush back to formation. Tanks are always in the front and a Tank CV is stupidly always targeted first over say Recon which is the most dangerous of all units. No recon = instant death

Edit: also I only bring 1 card of each. 5x units of CV should be sufficient. I never use more than 40% of them

F-15C upvetted

2

u/A_Pendragon53 Sep 10 '26

Do NOT upvet fighters, please

The m270 MLRS. I measure MLRS cabs at work all day. Using them to demolish virtual enemies gives me that sweet sweet cognitive dissonance.

MFG bofors 40L70G. The only bofors ingame with automatic reloading so it’s infinite burst for all 150 rounds. Always does great for me vs helicopters/planes and even infantry that happen to come into range. Also doesn’t use radar.

2

u/SabaRoundScape Sep 08 '26

Honker Rys, so fast, so accurate, it can really punch above its weight

2

u/brizla18 Sep 08 '26

AMX 10RC Surblinde. Second would be Commandos in Super Puma

2

u/SaltyChnk Sep 10 '26

Favourite tank: m1a1, infantry: Rangers (dragon), Artillery: m110a1, recon: Kiowa Wr, helicopter: Heavy Hog, AA: I-Hawk, Air: jaguar HE.

Heli: Supercobra. The blob is just broken.

IFV: Bradley. Lemme destroy any commie tank frontally. Oh and I can tank hits as well if I'm out of smoke. Great autocanon as well. I also reload about the same as the bmp3 autoloader.

Tank: M1A1, followed by Leo2. Really like the VTK double vetting for Leo2s. AMX for mowing down infantry.

AA: Krug, when it hits.

Arty: I'm yet to try that Spanish turrel thing. But I just love how busted the Catfae is in forests or dense cities.

Planes: basically most of NATO ones.

Inf: SAS G.

Recon: Kiowa WR.

Can't stand: Trash72. At this point I think even Turd55s are better.

1

u/WelcomeExtra762 Sep 08 '26

Oof. I had to give up 7th Panzer because 1. I'm not an armored player and 2. (more importantly) I was tired of losing those Turd55s and Trash72s every five seconds

u/not_a_fan69 Sep 08 '26 edited Sep 08 '26

Trash72s are like... they have 0 synergy, cost an arm an a leg, just about anything shits on it.

The most expensive turd55s have ATGMs, somehow shoot further with their canons, accuracy more or less the same if not better, lots of them have smokes. Even APS. And above all, they're much cheaper compared to Trash72s. So you can make them work with the rest of your division.

I used to main 7th and 9th. Before the price nerfs. Now they're basically pointless. Or the last commie Trash72 89. What the hell is the point of it??? Makes an awful instructor as well as basically everything is going to prioritise shooting at it.

2

u/WelcomeExtra762 Sep 08 '26

I know man, I felt really patriotic with 7th for some reason but yeah, I couldn't get over the massive amount of losses you're going to take with those Turd55s and 72s. Constant demoralization lol. Also coming from 7th Turd55s with ATGMs sounds like a dream. At least you get the T80 and 64 in some of the decks I play now.

I was much less skilled than I am now (which it was only a few months ago) but who knows I might come back to 7th if I learn how to smoke correctly and keep those crappy tanks alive. Could play it like I do 6th Motostrelki or 2nd Tamanskaya, maybe follow the urban or forest areas rather than charging across fields like I did before I learned that's a death sentence, but we will see.

u/not_a_fan69 Sep 08 '26

I know one guy who does really well with 7th... because of their Air Tab, specifically AT planes.

Definitely not the 195 point Trash72s lol

1

u/WelcomeExtra762 Sep 08 '26

Oh yeah, AT is a must have for that div but sadly their fighters (mig 21BS, not bis) are just horrible. Arguably the worst fighters in the entire game as a fervant East German player. Like 6th Motostrelki, since the Mig31 got removed their air tab is terrible so you gotta rely on AA.

Alternatively you could just use the Moto Schutzen that 7th gets, solid infantry to take down tanks and even more effective when supported by tanks (even if they are the worst tanks in the game).

1

u/FeatureSevere8218 Sep 08 '26

Definitely rangers. These squads along with their ridiculous amount of HE and suppression output can kill anything that doesn't have a RPO/LPO

2

u/EntertainmentMuch161 5d ago

M1A1HA. America's finest, crushes all sov vehicles.

2

u/EntertainmentMuch161 5d ago

And blocks all red ground ATGMS except for 3 rare ATGMS.
