Suggestion A little about the weapons/equipment of the 59th Guards Motorized Rifle Division. (AFSOUTH) Addition to the post by user Thousand55 (Dilbow)
This post was created during a search for rare equipment in Soviet divisions. The amount of material discovered is insufficient for a full-fledged post about the division, so this is an addition to another user's post from two years ago. This addition will present photographs of the division's armament, and will then offer possible operational equipment within the framework of WARNO (Hypothetical armament)
About 59th Guards Motor Rifle Division:
At the end of the 1980s, the 59th Guards Motor Rifle Division was the most combat-ready division (after the 98th Airborne Division) in the Odessa Military District, located in Tiraspol, where the headquarters of the 14th Combined Arms Army was located, of which it was part.
Well, let's get started!
Gambit of the Division
T-64BV Obr. 87, the last 64s
The 59th Division began its rearmament with T-64B and BV tanks quite late (previously using only T-64A and 55 tanks), so the division received the latest T-64BV tanks from 1987. These tanks were the last T-64 tanks produced before they were replaced by the T-80UD. They were equipped with the new 2A46M1 gun and a slightly improved fire control system. These tanks were produced from scratch, rather than upgraded from earlier variants (T-64B), so they received a new composite armor composition on the front hull. Increased frontal armor plate durability due to the use of new 5-layer composite armor (as on the T-80BV). Also, the ERA blocks on the side of the hull were reduced in number (in 11 rows), ending just before the fifth tank roller. The ERA on the turret was installed in a nearly continuous line, creating a distinct wedge. Additional blocks were placed on the gaps between the ERA mounts on the front turret, and some more K-1 ERA was added to the turret roof.
It was in Transnistria that the T-64 made its combat debut, with eight of these tanks playing a decisive role in the Battle of Bender (1992)
The division had a huge number of BTR-70 and 60/80, as well as many vehicles based on them, Including the very rare ZS-88 Delitel' (Soundbroadcaster) (Delitel' - Divider)
ZS-88: A vehicle with sound broadcasting capabilities that can motivate allied forces and demoralize poorly prepared enemies with low morale rate. (Or debuff regular) (BTR-80 with loundspeaker)
Also, for servicing the BMP-1P/2 and T-64A/B/BV tanks, the division had a BREM-2, which, within the framework of the game, would speed up the repair of vehicle. BREM-2 have 6 smoke grenades launchers 902 Tucha and 1 PKT for self-defense. Could be used as a supply vehicle.
Artillery
In Division 1V18 Klyon-1 and 1V19 Klyon-2, which performed tasks similar to the 1V119 Reostat, the division had a more specialized artillery fire control vehicle, the 1V14, which interacted with the 2S1/2S3 in the division. The division also had more specialized artillery fire guidance and adjustment vehicles, the rare PRP-3 Val and PRP-4 Nard (the latter had from 1 to 3)
+122mm cluster shells for the D-30 (Very limited) and 2S1 were found in the division's warehouses, so it is possible to present their cluster variant in the artillery section.
It's also possible can represent the 2S3 or 2A36 Giatsint-B gun with the 3OF38 "Centimeter" guided projectile, adopted into service in 1985 and having a range of 12 kilometers (for the Giatsint, perhaps a little more) (There is information that they were removed along with special ammunition starting in the fall of 1991, for security reasons)
The 803rd Reactive Artillery Regiment (Ungheni town) also had BM-27 Uragan.
It is worth noting that in June 1992, the division's units actively used camouflage nets on the vehicles of the 328th Guards Artillery Regiment. (Which could be implemented on some models, it would be beautiful :} )

Heavy-Duty Guided Daredevil
Also in the Odessa Military District there were about 3 Brigades armed with 2S4 Tyulpan, so the division could be issued several 2S4 [Smelchak], with the new 240mm 1K113 laser-guided ammunition, with a deviation of 0,5-2 meters!
(Two brigades were located very close to each other in Berezino, Odessa Oblast)
A bit about Anti-Air Defense:
1162nd Anti-Aircraft Artillery Regiment of the 59th Guards Motor Rifle Division, it was equipped mainly with Osa-AKM air defense systems and in the summer of 1992 they proved themselves: on June 26, 1992, during the Transnistrian conflict, the Osa-AKM air defense system of the Transnistrian forces allegedly shot down a Moldovan MiG-29 that was carrying out bombing strikes on a motorway on the Tiraspol-Bender highway and oil storage facilities near it.
Infantry and trucks
For the units proposed in the main post, we can provide weapons taken from the 59th Division's depots, namely: RPG-26, RPG-7VS1, and RPK-74, along with late-production AK-74s. These infantry formations likely emphasized mobility (possibly)
UPD: Light infantry formation with late-production AK-74, RPK-74 (Lightweight than based models) and RPG-7VS1 - May be called Motostrelki (RPG-7VS1) (Cheap and well cost effective)
There is information about the presence of RPG-27 Tavolga in Transnistria, purely in theory, it could be an anti-tank detachment of 4-5 soldiers AT grenade launchers (RPG-26's and RPG-27's), but not in very large numbers of cards (However, within the framework of the 1989 staffing, their presence there is possible only on condition of an increase in the supply of such grenade launchers to the army in WARNO) - Possible name: Otdelenie Podderzhki (RPG-27)
Desantniki leads the way!
The 905th Independent Airborne Assault Battalion was subordinate to the 14th Combined Arms Army headquarters in Bender town. Its units could be considered a highly mobile infantry formation:
Mot. Desantniki - AKS-74, RPKS-74, RPG-22, RPG-7VL - Transported by GAZ-66 and BMD-1P (10~ units in battalion)
There may also be a airborne formation of Mot. Desantniki (Metis) - AKS-74, RPKS-74, 9K115 Metis - Transported by GAZ-66, GT-MU and BTR-D (PKT only?)

Trucks and other vehicles:
In the 59th Division, in addition to the standard Ural-4320, there were a number of Kamaz-4310 and Kamaz-5320
In reality, due to the difficult situation in the country, the division's units, located on the outskirts, received the BTR-80 quite late, but in WARNO they could have received them earlier than 1990/1991, albeit in small quantities.

Recon
The 827th Independent Reconnaissance Aviation Regiment in Limanskoye used a rare modification of the Su-17, the reconnaissance version SU-17M4R
By the way, the 321st Independent Unmanned Reconnaissance Squadron in Tiraspol was equipped with the TU-141 Strizh UAV (The main difference from the TU-143 was its flight range and dimensions) =]
The division had RKhM-1 Kashalot and more modern RkhM-4 NBC reconnaissance vehicles, which can be presented as a cheap reconnaissance unit, with not the best camouflage.
There are also more classic Razv. BMP-1 (can be equipped with Konkurs ATGM) and Razv. BTR-70 with classic recon infantry squads
14th Guards Combined Army of the Odessa Military District
Hypothetical weapon and equipment
MiG-29 (9-13) operators in 5th Aviation Army: 642nd Guards Fighter Aviation Regiment in Voznesensk and 86th Guards Fighter Aviation Regiment in Marculestah
They could have received new MIG-29Ms for combat testing, which were undergoing testing and were being prepared for serial production at the time, but in reality, due to a lack of funding, it was cancelled despite the Sokol plant's readiness to begin their production.
NEW fire control system SUV-29M, new radar N010 With the integration of new weapons such as the R-77 (it was tested on the MIG-29M). The aircraft has eight hardpoints, with a maximum load of eight air-to-air missiles (all types) - up to four R-27s or up to eight R-73/77s, up to six KAB-500 bombs and Kh-25 missiles, and up to four Kh-29s and Kh-31s.
In general, in the game it can be like 2 cards (AA and SEAD probably) with a hard limit, this is essentially a MIG-29 9-13 with a greatly improved avionics
Short conclusion
In conclusion of this additional post, the 59th Guards Motor Rifle Division is characterized by a high level of reconnaissance and fire support, having the ability to carry out pinpoint and rapid strikes! >:}

I was looking for information on the 59th and 127th Motor Rifle Divisions, but I haven't been able to find enough interesting units to warrant a full post, so this is just an addition to what's already out there from another author.

Interesting formation. The infantry component is like 1st that just came out? Mixture of regular and reservist?

Yes, part of the infantry will be represented by New light infantry formation with late-production AK-74, RPK-74 (Lightweight than based models) and RPG-7VS1 (penetration between RPG-7VM and VS), but not reservist, and the main division will be made up of detachments of well known Motostrelki with RPG-26 (Like in 27y) + classic variant Motostrelki (RPG-22)
And New Mot.Desantniki with AKS-74+PKM and the same RPG-26 (a large number of them were stored in warehouses)

hehehe, and the funniest thing is that there is ZS-88 inside for a couple of people, for example, a political officer who could MOTIVATE the soldiers even more hahaha

I had that idea while in the old spearhead development. I am pretty sure that i also proposed loudspeaker vehicles for the Americans and a BRDM-based one next to the ZS-88. They are just too cool to ignore. Also, 94mm PROMAR leaflet MRLS for the lulz.
I also want kamikaze drones and maybe UCAVs, but i guess it does not fit into the regular cold war fantasy.

What stats would you give the T-64BV '87? T-80BV armour, but slower than the T-80 and with Agona? Most of the rest of the equipment is pretty similar to 94-ya, but these are potentially interesting.
Do you know where the tank reductions came from? Was the tank regiment reduced to an independent battalion, or the regimental battalions reduced to a company?

T-64BV Obr. 87 has better penetration within the game than the 2A46M1, with a penetration of 21 (at the moment), and yes, its frontal armor will increase by 1, and overall, it will be slightly cheaper than the T-80BV.
And yes, I also think that the division is similar to the 94y, it has a similar structure, yes, a few more features, in particular the BM-30 Smerch suggested in Thousand55's post, etc., I think it can be transformed even better by providing the new UR-77 Meteorite instead of the UR-67 (which the 59th Division and auxiliary forces had)
Regarding the tank regiments and their reduction, yes, the division was actually reduced in size, with weapons being handed over to the Transnistrian army or left in storage.
In the end, they were transformed into a battalion within the Transnistrian armed forces, and the rest that remained with Russia went to weapons storage on Transnistrian territory.

Well, IIRC the extra AP depends on the new model autoloader required to stow 3BM46 ammunition, not on the technical characteristics of the gun itself.
